Nowadays, handmade gifts have become popular. It is even more pleasant to receive not just a pretty trinket, but some kind of symbol. For example, everyone will be happy with the money tree. Many have been convinced of the power of feng shui more than once, and a craft that attracts wealth to a house is always a pleasant surprise.

What it is?

The money tree talisman is not just a beautiful piece of furniture. It has the strongest energy and is considered a symbol of wealth and success.

Many people put a tree figure on an office table - it helps to lure clients, and by installing a craft at home, you can expect financial well-being in the family.

According to the principles of the ancient Chinese art of feng shui, every thing has magical powers, and if it is installed in the right place, it will start working. So, for the money tree, the so-called corner of wealth was chosen; it is located on the southeast side. Accordingly, this is where you need to put the symbol of material success. It is advisable to install the figurine in the appropriate area in the hallway, it is here that the path to financial flows is best open. To enhance the effect, it is recommended to put a large paper banknote under the tree.

There are several types of money trees made using different technologies.

  • Coin tree. It is a figurine in the form of a tree, on the branches of which iron coins hang instead of leaves. Usually, souvenir money with slots in the middle is used for this.

  • From other materials. If the required amount of coppers is not there, then you can "hang" other elements on the tree, for example, pistachio shells or sequins.In any case, money should be a component of this exhibit, and therefore coins can be scattered under the craft.

  • Panel. In this case, the whole picture is laid out from iron coins. Coppers are glued or sewn on. This technology is very popular. The composition can be hung in the apartment, in the office or in the room where the organization's cash desk is located.

  • From bills. A simpler version of the craft, although it cannot be called economical, since real paper banknotes are more often used for production. If no original banknotes were found to create a money symbol, then crafts from a souvenir shop can also be used, but in this case, to enhance energy, at least one real banknote should be placed under the sample. A tree made of paper money also turns out to be a very cute and unusual souvenir.

  • Fat woman. This is the name of a houseplant, which is considered to be monetary. A fat woman can be bought cheaply at any flower shop, and when she grows up, you should hang a few coins on her stems for a magical effect.

Below are the two most common options for making a money tree: a panel and a volumetric figure. To create a picture you will need:

    • copper wire;
    • FUM;
    • threads;
    • glue;
    • scissors;
    • plaster mix;
    • alabaster;
    • plaster;

    Manufacturing steps

    Nowadays, many are so passionate about the ideas of creating decorative objects for feng shui that art institutions even offer master classes for everyone. Observing how a unique symbol is created and repeating actions is very useful, because the master will be able to prompt, notice mistakes, and help in practice. If it is not possible to attend the lesson, then we offer two step-by-step instructions for making a souvenir with your own hands.

    Stages of panel creation.

    1. Disassemble the photo frame, take out the plywood, put it on the base (wallpaper), circle it with a pencil and cut out the blank. Glue the cut-out material to the outside of the plywood. Once dry, draw a tree shape on the sheet.

    2. Combine water and PVA glue in a 1: 1 ratio in a bowl. Cut strips from the prepared napkins, lightly dip each in the previously obtained glue mixture, twist the tight tubes and wait until dry. If flagella of different thicknesses are obtained, then this is normal, in the future they will be needed to decorate the crown and branches.

    3. Apply glue to the depicted tree in the crown zone, apply dried tubes from napkins, construct the crown, branches, roots according to the drawn scheme.

    4. Prepare some alcohol or detergent and treat coins with it. This procedure will degrease the iron money so that it sticks more securely. Stick the coins onto the branches you formed earlier.

    5. Spray the entire composition with black spray paint. Once dry, you can apply a gold color on top. Then, using a sponge, you should walk over the panel with silver paint. We are waiting for drying again.

    6. Dip a dry sponge in a golden color, apply paint on coins and blend. Shine the surface of the coins while still wet with paint. Leave the canvas to dry completely.

    7. Frame the painting and hang it in a suitable place.

      To make a volumetric structure, follow these steps.

      1. Tie pieces of copper wire to the coins. Suitable diameter is 0.3 mm.

      2. Fasten the segments together, five pieces at a time, to form the branches of the future tree.

      3. Use additional millimeter wire to hold the thinner wire to hold the heavy coins.Fold it in half, attach it to the base of the branch and wrap the connection section with FUM tape. This needs to be done with all branches.

      4. Assemble a common trunk from the branches, fastening everything with tape. Seal the barrel from the pieces of wire.

      5. Pour the plaster mixture into the container, lower the barrel there and strengthen the figure until the gypsum hardens.

      6. While the gypsum is setting, prepare a composition of alabaster, plaster and cement, dilute the resulting compound with PVA glue dissolved in water. When the gypsum mixture hardens (it usually takes half an hour), take out the tree and apply the substance obtained above to the trunk, arrange the grooves.

      7. Paint the figurine with spray paints, acrylic varnish or glitter in your favorite colors. For example, golden, bronze, silver shades look very solid.

      Interesting ideas

      The above are the most popular options for making a money symbol, but there are even more original and unusual examples.

      • You can give the wood a natural color. For the summer version, the coins are painted green and the barrel brown. You can also create a winter landscape: for this, coppers are sprayed with white paint - this technique will create a snowy, light, delicate effect.

      • Using coins, you can design a Christmas tree. To do this, we roll up pieces of cardboard in the form of cones, glue each of them with iron money and decorate with cotton balls. The resulting figurine will attract wealth in the coming year.

      • Another original idea is a tree with a round crown. Glue a small foam rubber ball in several layers with coins, leave space for the future barrel. Glue an ordinary branch with decorative tapes, insert it into the hole left in the ball, after poking a hole in the foam rubber, fix it with glue. Pour a mixture of sand, alabaster and water into a beautifully designed glass, fix the previously obtained structure vertically.

      Decorate the composition: for this you can use paint, sparkles, beads, beads, sequins and any other materials for decoration.

      • An easy and quick way to make a money tree yourself is to represent it schematically. You can simply cover a sheet of paper with glue, sprinkle coins depicting foliage on it, wait for it to dry, place the panel under the frame, pressing it tightly against the glass, and hang it on the wall. Such an instance has no less energetic power than more complex options.
      • You can embroider a picture from coins. The trunk and branches are embroidered, and decorative coins with holes are sewn onto the canvas as leaves.

      At the request of the author, a tree can be created from beads, sequins, glitter and other materials.
