Simbircite is a mineral that people met in the 18th century, but stone processing became possible only in the last century. Its name is explained by the location of the mineral: the city of Simbirsk (which for historical reasons is now called Ulyanovsk) became the birthplace of simbircite. If we talk about this mineral, then onyx and calcite will become one chain with it, they are really related to symbircite.

What it is?

Simbircite is one of the rare and unusual varieties of onyx; it belongs to the calcite mineral. Its formula contains impurities of limestone, hematite and pyrite. We owe the discovery of the stone to the retired lieutenant colonel Svechin, who in retirement took up mineral science. Real interest in stone arose only in Soviet times, it began to be processed and often used in various industries.

If you hear that this stone is called Volga amber or Siberian calcite, there is no mistake - such different names refer to the same mineral.

Outwardly, the stone really resembles amber, but only simbircite and amber have different purposes.

The stone is inexpensive. For example, a silver pendant with a large mineral inside can be purchased for $ 40-50. The stone itself without a cut will cost $ 15 and more. But we cannot talk about the average cost, because the stones have aesthetic differences: the more interesting the pattern, the more expensive the price will be.

Views

Mineraologists distinguish two types of stone: vein simbircite and ammonite.

  • Vein mineral in nature can be found more often, the form of its existence is a crystal. Such a stone has a very unusual pattern - striped. The thickness of the veins reaches 10 cm.You can get such a stone not only in Ulyanovsk, its locations have been found in Argentina as well.
  • Ammonite mineral in comparison with the vein - a great rarity. This stone can only be found in Russia. It is rarely processed, because what nature has created is unique, and no technology can repeat the exclusive form. The mineral is formed in empty ammonite shells that served as a "house" for prehistoric molluscs.

Where is it mined?

Simbirtsite is a real symbol of Ulyanovsk. Although the city is known mainly as the birthplace of V.I. Lenin, many people who have been there celebrate the beauty of the sculptures that advertise another brand of the city. Chic bijouterie is made from simbircite, which will surprise even those who understand a lot about decorative products.

Natural symbircite is found more often in yellow color and its various shades. But white, reddish, greenish stones can also be found, although rarely. Beautiful pendants, talismans, amulets are made from the mineral. The first deposits of the stone were formed, as scientists have found, about 90 million years ago.

Properties

The stone, which today amazes with the uniqueness of the patterns, was basically a mixture of marly siderite and marl, and this is nothing more than the remains of fossil animals. Those prehistoric molluscs and marine reptiles eventually turned into pieces of stone. Then the components were dehydrated and dissolved. Calcium carbonate was deposited on the walls of ammonite shells - this is how symbircite appeared.

Chemical and physical

The mineral, as already noted, belongs to the group of calcites. It is a type of onyx.

The stone contains:

  • pyrite,
  • limestone,
  • nacre,
  • calcite,
  • hematite,
  • golden marble onyx.

The mineral has a crystalline structure and a silky glass sheen. The stone is distinguished by medium hardness and high fragility. It does not cause problems in processing and cutting, which takes place using a special impregnation composition.

Therapeutic

Simbircite is called an energy-intensive stone. The mineral is believed to radiate warm energy. He really finds application in medicine. For example, it has antispasmodic and analgesic effects. Many people say that the stone helped them get rid of headaches and reduce the frequency of migraine attacks.

Often the stone is recommended for those who suffer from neurosis and depression.

Depressive disorders and phobias are one of the main areas of action of the stone.

The healing capabilities of the mineral are also revealed in the treatment of such related diseases as:

  • gout,
  • arthritis,
  • rheumatism.

It is believed that the mineral affects the digestive system very effectively. The reason for this is its healing energy and warm radiation. Once upon a time, symbircite was used as a natural remedy for healing wounds, rapid regeneration of the skin in places of damage. For this, the mineral was pounded in a mortar, the resulting powder was applied to sore spots.

It must be said that lithotherapy (that is, stone treatment) belongs to the branches of alternative medicine. It is often called a pseudoscientific theory and scientists cannot be denied the validity of their criticism. If you are interested in this kind of treatment, study the theory well first.

Lithotherapy does not belong to classical evidence-based medicine. The properties of stones, the effect of vibration of their energy on the human body have no scientific evidence. But if at least partially it can help, while the principle of "do no harm" is observed, you can turn to stone therapy. Although such therapy should in no way replace traditional (evidence-based) therapy.

Magical

A huge number of people are also interested in the magical meaning of the stone. If you believe in its powerful energy, then we can assume that the stone was used as amulets and talismans. But is it?

Including critical thinking, we understand that the symbircite found in the 18th century was not processed and it was only at the end of the Soviet Union that it began to be used in industry.

By and large, interest in the mineral woke up not so long ago. Was it possible during this time to draw at least some reasonable conclusions about its magical properties?

But if you scroll through a dozen forums, read the subjective reviews of people using symbircite, you can see some common features. People write that the mineral helped them in the following cases.

  • In overcoming the depressive state. Someone advises to wear jewelry with symbircite after certain life upheavals, a difficult period. And the stone, according to the authors of the reviews, gave them vitality, filled them with energy, returned thoughts in a positive direction.
  • Find your calling... It is often written that simbircite "knows how" to relieve a person from want. If someone lacks money, he serves as a guide to those areas where the income is better. If someone could not find a half, simbircite seemed to help finally find personal happiness. There are descriptions of cases when it was jewelry with symbircite that became for a person a symbol of searching for oneself, self-realization, and the successful accumulation of working energy.
  • Unleash intellectual potential. And this value is often credited to the mineral. They say that the stone patronizes those whose field of activity is associated with the need to display high intellectual abilities. It is known that talismans with symbircite are often worn by those who are engaged in intellectual games.

To relieve fatigue and laziness is another magical meaning of the stone, which is often attributed to it. It is believed that the energy of the mineral feeds a person, he has the strength and ability to work, carry out the planned, etc. In fact, most likely, the person himself endows the stone with a magical meaning, which is based on the true goal of a person.

For example, if he complains about the loss of the desire to work, the lack of creative powers, together with the stone that is "responsible" for improving the situation, the person receives the desired setting.

Thanks to the installation, he begins to pay more attention to his regime, the quality of food (which greatly affects energy, cheerfulness, a surge of strength), begins to engage in timing.

As a result, the situation with working capacity is improving, but is it a matter of stone? On the other hand, such a materialization of goals and dreams is not a bad move.

    Who is it suitable for?

Astrologers still continue to study the stone, trying to prove which signs of the zodiac are worth paying attention to. It is believed that the mineral can become a talisman for Taurus and Lions. These signs, or rather, their representatives, are vain, ambitious people, they love increased attention to their person. And the mineral in this case can act as a natural sedative: to bring down the ardor, to give an opportunity to take a balanced approach to your actions.

Sometimes vanity becomes a vice, and obsession with incessant personal achievements turns into neurosis.

To stop this in time, you can wear jewelry with symbircite.

However, representatives of other zodiac signs can also pay attention to the stone. There is no negative energy in it, it cannot harm. But if you are melancholic, slow, activity is not yours, the stone can sharpen these qualities, which is not always desirable.

If you have a difficult period, time trouble, a lot of things to do, and you cannot find the support that will relieve you of the role of "squirrel in the wheel", you can resort to the help of stones. If you believe in their energy, it will help psychologically. Simbircite is a mineral that balances, makes a person be thoughtful, unhurried, insightful. It seems to slow down a little time, which rushes very quickly. You can buy yourself a beautiful pendant with symbircite, wear it all the time or wear it on days that promise to be "hot".

How to distinguish from a fake?

If you are told that the stone is from anywhere, but not from Ulyanovsk and not from Argentina, the question will be logical - are they not deceiving you? The extraction of stone today takes place in a rather limited deposit of rock. It is difficult to find him somewhere very far from Ulyanovsk. Many are surprised that 1 kg of symbircite can cost 5-6 thousand rubles, and for a pendant you will have to pay from 20 to 50 dollars. But just stone and jewelry (with the use of precious metals) are really different price categories.

You can check if it is a fake as follows: Volga amber is not capable of leaving a scratch on the glass. Calcites have a soft structure, so this should not happen to them. If you run a stone over the glass and a scratch appears, it is most likely that you are being offered a fake.

    Subtleties of care

The mineral is very beautiful, all its aesthetics are revealed in the proper cut. If the products made of simbircite are small works of art, all the beauty of the stone will be visible. Necklaces, beads, pendants, brooches and pendants - all this can be purchased by any woman who is anxious about her image. Candlesticks, vases, figurines, vessels - and this is also decorated with symbircite.

From time to time, the mineral needs to be placed in a sunny place so that it is fed with the energy of the sun. In a few hours it will restore its structure, regain its strength. Also, the stone should be washed with clean water - you can do it in salt water baths.

By the way, after each treatment, lithotherapists “bathe” symbircite in a salt bath to remove the negative energy that it has absorbed.

Under the open sky, rain, in a thunderstorm, simbircite should not be left. If the stone "catches" negative energy or lightning, it can lose its properties. It is worth protecting the mineral from impacts: hitting the stone floor, the stone can crack or even break.

You will learn what properties simbircite has from the video.
