Aloe is a plant familiar to everyone, because even in official medicine there are many drugs, creams and tinctures with the addition of an extract of this miraculous culture. The oil obtained from this succulent has a number of useful properties, but it also has contraindications for use. How to properly use aloe vera oil and with its help improve your own health, we will talk in this article.

Peculiarities

The first mentions of aloe vera oil can be found in ancient Egyptian texts. In ancient times, it was used by such famous personalities as Cleopatra, Nefertiti, Christopher Columbus, Avicenna, Paracelsus, Hippocrates. According to historians, even Alexander the Great was looking for plantations with a unique plant in the hope that the oil would help quickly cure wounded soldiers.

It is worth noting that the oil itself is not a pure product. It is obtained by mixing with another fatty substance, most often soybean oil. This process is called maceration. The most beneficial are the leaves of the plant, which contain a huge amount of important elements.

The composition of the macerate contains:

  • vitamins of group B, as well as A, C, E;
  • various fatty and amino acids;
  • polysaccharides;
  • trace elements necessary for humans, such as iron, selenium, calcium, magnesium, copper and many others;
  • monosaccharides;
  • alkaloids;
  • phytoncides and flavonoids;
  • resin.

In general, high-quality aloe vera oil contains more than 250 substances, each of which brings certain benefits to the human body.

Benefit and harm

If you pay attention to the number of elements present in the composition, you can understand that this product is multifunctional and can be used in different areas. Let's dwell on the most important benefits of aloe vera oil.

  • Softening the skin. If you have a dry skin type, it often flakes, turns red, loses its firmness and freshness, aloe oil will quickly and effectively solve this problem.
  • Antibacterial action. With such ailments as acne, post-acne, comedones, the remedy will disinfect the dermis of the face, relieve inflammation, restore normal blood supply to the skin, and cleanse the pores. In addition, the product treats fungal diseases, lichens, herpes.
  • Rejuvenation. Since the oil contains allantoin, the skin will receive all the necessary elements from the outside. Allantoin is a kind of "transport", thanks to which the pores are open, the skin breathes, regenerates quickly, rejuvenates and becomes soft and well-groomed. With the help of the oil, other preparations for the care of the dermis will work much better.
  • Medicinal qualities. Aloe juice is ideal for treating abrasions and minor cuts. Moreover, this oil quickly heals even the most severe burns.
  • Antioxidant properties. Many women know how harmful sunlight is to their skin, especially in summer and those hours when the sun is incredibly hot. Applying oil to the skin will slow down the destructive effects of ultraviolet radiation, protect the skin from the appearance of unwanted moles, and help it not to burn or redden.
  • Help with hair care. Dandruff, psoriasis, itchy scalp lead to hair loss, brittleness and dryness, loss of color, as well as constant irritation and self-doubt. Aloe vera oil slowly but surely improves the condition of the curls, disinfects the dermis, heals it and is an excellent prophylactic agent.

Despite such visible advantages, aloe macerate has several contraindications that cannot be ignored.

  • Intolerance. It sometimes happens that even a safe product causes severe allergies when used for the first time. Aloe oil is not a powerful allergen, but when redness, rash, temperature appears, its use should be discarded.
  • Pregnancy. Carrying a baby is a difficult stage in a woman's life, and no one knows how her body will react even to the usual remedy. Refrain from using macerate at this stage.
  • Bleeding. Yes, the oil is great for small scratches, but it is strictly forbidden to apply it to open wounds.
  • Respiratory tract diseases. It is impossible to experiment here, since the essential substances in the oil can cause coughing, shortness of breath, difficulty in breathing. It is better to consult a doctor before use.
  • Oncology. Cancer is not the time to test new drugs. The use of oil can only worsen the patient's condition.

Application

If you listen to the advice of cosmetologists, it is better to use macerate not in pure form. Adding it to the daily care products that you are used to using will make the oil no less effective, but the body will tolerate the new product much easier.

Macerate can be added:

  • in cream for face, body and hands;
  • in shampoo and conditioner, hair mask;
  • in essential oil for aromatherapy;
  • in massage products;
  • in lotions and tonics;
  • into liquid soap or shower gel.

Let's take a closer look at how you can best use aloe vera oil at home.

For hair

Beautiful hair is every woman's dream, even if she doesn't admit it. It is quite possible to choose aloe oil as an alternative to expensive masks and serums. It will not only not harm, but will also help to cope with any problem of the hair and scalp. It is not necessary to give up the products to which you are accustomed, it is enough just to add a couple of drops of macerate to them.

  • Dry curls. To restore hair to its former softness and strength, take one yolk and combine it with ten drops of lavender and five drops of sage oil.Add the resulting composition with five drops of aloe oil, stir and apply to hair for half an hour. After the time has elapsed, the mixture must be washed off, and the head must be washed with shampoo.
  • Lack of gloss. Shimmering curls can be obtained by mixing a few drops of macerate with a spoonful of honey and the same amount of castor oil. This mixture is also aged for about half an hour, then washed off well.
  • Dandruff. To permanently get rid of the hated itching and dandruff, combine aloe macerate with a teaspoon of honey and a tablespoon of calendula. You cannot wash your hair with shampoo afterwards.
  • Poor growth, weak curls. A combination of burdock oil, a teaspoon of honey, three drops of lemon juice, chicken yolk and a few drops of aloe vera oil will help speed up hair growth. The resulting composition must be kept for 20-30 minutes, then the hair is washed well.

For face

If you already have a proven skincare cream or toner, just top it up with aloe oil. If you want a stronger effect, we recommend that you try several effective masks for different skin types.

  • Problematic / oily. A composition of three drops of macerate, egg white and a little lemon juice will help to gain a healthy shine and remove excess oil from the skin. The mixture is applied to the dermis in several layers, kept until completely dry, then washed off.
  • Dry. If your skin dries up and constantly flakes, try nourishing it with a mixture of aloe oil, oatmeal, and flower honey. All components must be taken in the same quantity. It will be ideal if such a mask is used for daily care.
  • Fading. An abundance of wrinkles, the appearance of age spots - all this awaits every woman, but it is in our power to slow down this process. Melt the honey, combine it with oat flour and glycerin. Add 7 ml of aloe vera oil to the mixture. After applying the mask to your face, try to relax and lie down, tune in to a positive mood. After twenty minutes, wash off the product with warm water.

You need to use such a treatment about three times a week, but no more than one and a half months, then a break is required.

Selection Tips

In order not to purchase a low-quality product, which at best will not work, and at worst, will harm, you need to be extremely careful when buying.

Never buy oil hand-held, from unverified sites, from stores that have bad reviews. The best option is to come to the pharmacy. In addition, here you can demand documents and quality certificates, and if the seller does not have them, it is recommended to postpone the purchase. A good solution would be to order the product via the Internet, but only on sites that have proven themselves on the positive side.

The following nuances should be taken into account:

  • the oil should be free of fragrances and perfumed additives;
  • the product must be sold in a glass bottle;
  • optimal ph level - 7.

Top manufacturers:

  • Banna (Thailand) - the price is about 230 rubles;
  • Aromelle (French production) - 790 rubles;
  • Sib-Kruk (Russia) - about 200 rubles.

When purchasing oil, be sure to follow all storage conditions. This product should be kept in a dark place, and the temperature should not exceed 20 degrees. If you did everything correctly, the macerate will have a shelf life of two years.

Reviews

In general, the girls who have tried the oil on themselves are unanimous in their positive reviews. Ladies note that the product is inexpensive and for the sake of it you do not need to change your home beauty arsenal, because you just need to drop a small amount of macerate into any care product. Customers say that through the use of aloe oil, the hair has a vibrant shine, health and strength, and the skin of the face is radiant and fresh.

There are also negative responses, where consumers note isolated cases of allergies or even the uselessness of the product.Nevertheless, some of them confirm that they may have acquired a fake and did not show due attention when buying, opting for a cheap product.
