We all dream of a beautiful and even tan, but getting it is not easy. In the cold season, for this they resort to the help of a solarium, and in summer they use natural sunlight.

To obtain a uniform, golden skin color, various cosmetics are used to protect us from burning and promote the correct distribution of UV rays. But the most suitable are still natural products that have not only protective, but also nutritional properties.

One of these products is sunflower oil.

Product feature

It is a product obtained from sunflower seeds. Depending on the production method, sunflower pomace is divided into several types.

  • Cold pressed unrefined oil - get under the influence of a press without the use of high temperatures. Such a product preserves all the useful components to the maximum.
  • Cold pressing after pre-roasting the seeds - this method kills most of the valuable elements.
  • Refining - the raw material goes through many stages of processing, including chemicals and high temperatures. Naturally, there is no talk about the benefits of such a product. But on the other hand, it has no sediment at all, since fine and coarse components are removed from it.

Thus, the most beneficial is unrefined cold-pressed oil. It is primarily valued for the content of fatty acids in it: stearic, myristic, palmitic, oleic, linoleic and linolenic. And also omega-6, unsaturated fatty acids are present.

Vitamins D and K are distinguished from the vitamin diversity in the oil liquid. The leading position belongs to vitamin E, which, by the way, is the main antioxidant of our body.

And also unrefined oil contains wax, phosphorus-containing substances, non-fatty impurities. Considering that it is a herbal product, it does not contain any cholesterol. There are 99.9 g of fat per 100 g of the product.

The use of unrefined sunflower oil for tanning is a worthy solution, since it has all the necessary qualities to obtain such an effect.

How does it work?

After applying the oily liquid to the skin as a tanning agent, it forms a fatty film on it.

  • It helps to retain moisture in the layers of the dermis, so that the skin does not dry out, maintains elasticity and does not thin out.
  • The film is protective: it smooths out the effects of the aggressive sun. The fat layer from it heats up and scatters UV rays, achieving their even distribution on the skin. This gives it a beautiful golden hue.

The oil saturates the dermis with vitamins and fatty acids. The skin becomes silky, shiny and velvety to the touch. In addition, the product helps to regenerate the upper layer of the skin.

Sunflower pomace is 100% natural, it contains no preservatives, fragrances and stabilizers. Therefore, there is almost never an allergy to it. It is safe and quite effective for getting the tan you want.

The result will not be long in coming: the combination of oil and sun increases the rate at which melanin is produced, which is responsible for the darkening of the dermis.

The fatty film remains on the skin surface for a long time and is not washed off after swimming in the sea. The maximum tanning time after applying the oil is 4 hours. In principle, this time interval is quite enough to enjoy the sunbathing to its fullest.

But if you want to prolong the pleasure, reapply. But consider the fact that you run the risk of falling into a dangerous time period from 11.00 to 15.00. And in this case, even sunflower oil may not help you.

Sunflower oil is shown to be smeared not only before going to the beach, but also before going to the solarium. It is used a couple of hours before visiting the institution. At the end of the procedure, the skin should be re-moistened with an oil solution.

How to apply correctly?

Before applying the product, the skin must be prepared. It is worth scrubbing it first. This will remove dead cells of the epithelium, align and clean the skin. After this procedure, the oil is absorbed more intensively and acts more effectively.

It is best to spread the oily solution onto the moist dermis. And you need to do this 30-40 minutes before going to the beach.

During this time, the oil is absorbed into the skin as much as possible, and the residues should be removed with a napkin or towel. This will keep your clothes from getting dirty.

To apply the product, you need to rub a small amount of it in your hands and massage it into the skin with circular soft movements, starting from the legs and moving up. It is applied in a thin layer for maximum absorption without leaving marks.

Peculiarities

Sunflower oil is an excellent remedy for sun protection and a beautiful dark complexion. The tool is so widespread that you can see its finished version in the pharmacy and on the shelves of cosmetic stores.

Apply oil responsibly. If it is poorly absorbed, then dust and other impurities will stick to the body. They clog the pores, leading to skin rashes.

Due to its dense, oily consistency, the product is not recommended to be applied to the facial area, as the skin is more porous here.

After sunbathing, it is recommended to lubricate the skin with an oil solution to protect it from drying out.

But in the case when you get a sunburn, oily liquids should not be used. They do not allow the skin to breathe, in addition, they contribute to the development of pathogenic flora. In such cases, it is more rational to use anti-burn agents so as not to cause the progression of the process.
