Every woman dreams of adding personality to her look and looking amazing every day. Even the most ordinary short hairstyle can be transformed with unusual shades. Today, complex dyeing for short hair is becoming more popular day after day. The modern beauty industry provides many techniques and ways to give hair to a minimum length of a bright and rich shade.

Advantages and disadvantages

Complex dyeing techniques are the selective dyeing of individual strands along the entire length or only their ends. Most often, 2 to 4 shades are used. Even very short haircuts look amazing with this procedure. Fashionable coloring allows you to stand out from the crowd and create a unique look. The advantages of complex staining include the following nuances:

  • minimal hair damage;
  • giving the hair the desired volume;
  • excellent disguise of gray hairs;
  • suitable for any age;
  • harmonious color transition;
  • looks expensive and elegant;
  • does not require frequent adjustments.

This technique is especially suitable for ladies who are planning a drastic change of image, for example, from blonde to brunette (or vice versa).

However, this method also has disadvantages. For example, the high cost of the procedure (especially on long and thick hair). As a rule, craftsmen use professional paints that are expensive. In addition, in most cases, complete lightening of individual curls is required, which negatively affects the hair structure, and not all techniques are suitable for short hair.

Please note that when dyeing the tips, they will soon begin to split. Also, complex staining will not work on curly and wavy hair.

Variants

Short hair means quick coloring and easy styling. For hair of the minimum length, you can notice several popular techniques of complex staining. These include the following.

  1. Ombre. A popular method, the essence of which is a combination of light and dark shades. This implies a smooth transition from the tone of the roots to the tips and vice versa. Colors can be close in tone (differ by 2-3) or contrasting. When creating an ombre on short hair, trendy shades (blue, pink and green) are also used today. This type of coloring is able to diversify any haircut.
  2. Balayazh. Implies a smooth transition (vertical) from a darker tone to a lighter one. Great for red and blond hair. Balayazh is classified as a retro style, and it is in many ways similar to highlighting. However, this method does not imply a chaotic staining order, but a strict sequence. One colored curl alternates with a natural one. As a result, the haircut gains extra volume and looks great. Complex dyeing using the balayage technique will add a piquant zest to the female look.
  3. Shatush. It is created by analogy with ombre, but the master uses more natural shades with the effect of strands burnt out under the southern sun. Thanks to this method of staining, the overgrown roots remain invisible for a long time. The strands to be dyed are chosen spontaneously and look very natural. Shatush looks especially impressive on short hair.

Partial coloring, which is important for very short hair, can also be referred to as complex techniques. For example, long bangs turn purple or hot pink, which is bold and trendy.

Features of dyeing gray hair

Do not think that gray hair is a problem only for mature women. Many women begin to notice her appearance after thirty years. It has long been known that gray hairs are very finicky and difficult to stain. If we talk about monochromatic dyeing of short hair, then it is best to make the hair 2-3 tones lighter than natural. Dyeing gray hair in dark colors is not recommended. Black, red and copper colors are especially not suitable for fighting gray hair. They literally set off gray hairs.

The technique of frequent highlighting and the ombre method perfectly masks gray hair. Thus, the highlighted strands are not washed off and do not "expose" gray hair. In addition, these types of staining do not require frequent adjustments; they can be easily done at home.

Hair care

    Any hair that has been exposed to paint (even the most expensive one) requires careful maintenance. Complex dyeing techniques on short hair naturally cause some damage to the hair structure. In order for the strands to look healthy and well-groomed, you must:

    • a week after dyeing, apply nourishing masks to the hair;
    • do not abuse styling products and limit the use of a hair dryer, curling iron or iron;
    • apply toning balms and shampoos;
    • do not neglect hats in hot or, conversely, frosty weather;
    • do not comb wet strands to avoid brittleness.
