This procedure not only refreshes, moisturizes and tones the skin, it relieves swelling, lightens pigmentation. The face begins to look younger.

Composition and benefits

A natural mask with seaweed seeds is produced in China and Thailand. The composition of the product also includes rosehip seeds. This cosmetic product whitens the face qualitatively and moisturizes the skin well. The wonderful properties are explained by the biological composition of kelp, which is unique. It contains polysaccharides, collagen, vitamins and active trace elements. They have regenerative properties and remove dead cells, tightening and refreshing the skin.

  • Alginates and alginic acid. When dissolved in water, these substances turn into a gel. It envelops the face, covering it with a thin film. The effect of lymphatic drainage relieves swelling, strengthens the skin, toning it. When moisturized, toxins are released, and nutrition smoothes fine wrinkles, producing a rejuvenating effect. Removing the mask is easy: it can be removed with a whole canvas.
  • Collagen. With age, the production of this substance in the body decreases and its intake from the outside is very useful. A collagen mask is always included in age-related makeup.
  • Vitamins and minerals. The algae seed mask contains many active substances: vitamins B and C, carotenoids and folic acid. It contains a lot of plant enzymes and sterols.Algae are famous for their iodine, calcium and potassium content.

It also contains magnesium, iron, phosphorus, chromium and selenium. These trace elements nourish the top layer of the skin and rejuvenate it. Moisturizing algae patches help to get rid of dark circles under the eyes.

Advantages

Kelp masks are versatile and suitable for everyone, regardless of skin type. They nourish and moisturize the face. Algae slow down the aging process, treat inflammation, relieve irritation. Masks enhance the protective functions of the skin, preventing the appearance of acne and dark spots. The main advantages of Thai masks are provided by:

  • large amounts of vitamin C, a natural antioxidant;
  • a large amount of iodine;
  • choline, which soothes irritation and removes grease;
  • niacin, which promotes a healthy complexion;
  • potassium and calcium necessary for the skin;
  • iron that maintains blood circulation, which provides oxygen to cells.

Recipes for home use

The process of preparing the mask is simple, but the mixture turns out to be liquidish and it is thickened with various additives.

With clay

Kelp effectively removes dead cells of the epidermis. Delicately working, the purifying mask evens out the tone of aging skin. Clay (you can take any) is mixed with seaweed powder and diluted with herbal decoction. Use herbs at will: thyme, linden or plantain. The mixture is brought to a creamy state. The clay mask is applied in a supine position so that the mixture does not spread.

The procedure brings pleasant sensations, pleasure and a sense of tranquility. After half an hour, the mask is washed off with warm water and a day cream is applied to the face.

With honey and butter

Algae mask based on oil and honey is highly effective. For cooking, take 1 teaspoon of seaweed and natural honey. Add 3 drops of olive oil to the mixture (can be replaced with linseed oil) and stir until smooth. Lie on a flat surface and gently apply the mask. Hold for 10 minutes, then rinse with warm water.

Gelatinous

Being a good thickener, gelatin is also a source of natural protein - collagen. It is very beneficial for the skin, but is rarely found in animal products. By introducing collagen into the composition of the mask, it is taken into account that hot gelatin loses its beneficial properties, and when frozen, it does not mix with anything. It is necessary to mix it with seaweed on time, when it is heated, but not yet frozen. Take a teaspoon of algae powder and fill it with warm water. Gelatin is mixed with three tablespoons of pure water or with herbal extract. Warm it up in a water bath until the grains disappear. Mix with seaweed, remove from heat, allow to cool slightly and apply to the skin. Rinse off with warm water, no cosmetics are used for washing.

From brown algae

A mixture for a mask made from deep-sea brown algae is easy to buy ready-made. It is inexpensive, and the result is amazing. Even clients who do not like to tinker with masks appreciated its action and effectiveness. They say that the Thai mask cleanses and smoothes the skin of the face, reduces dryness, protects from the sun's rays, and prevents early aging. The skin of the face becomes elastic and smooth, the secretion of sebum decreases, inflammation and irritation decrease.

From seed

Cosmetologists recommend taking plain clean water for masks. But replacing it with other fluids enhances the effect and allows you to achieve the desired result. A variety of juices, milk and apple cider vinegar are used at home. Carrot juice gives the face a light tan color, while nourishing and saturating it with vitamins. Cucumber juice will relieve freckles, cabbage juice will tighten loose skin, and potato juice will remove puffiness.

Milk contains many beneficial substances, and its use increases the effectiveness of skin masks. It becomes clean and firm.By adding apple cider vinegar to seaweed, it increases skin tone, wrinkles are smoothed, and sebum secretion on oily skin decreases. But vinegar should not be used on sensitive skin: it can cause irritation.

Application and contraindications

Kelp was first used to combat cellulite. She had a good effect on the body, removing subcutaneous fat. Subsequently, it began to be used for the skin of the face. Patients give positive reviews, saying that seaweed helps to solve many problems.

  • Elimination of irritation and flaking of the skin, reducing its dryness. If the matter is in a deficiency of substances that help restore the top layer, algae will come to the rescue.
  • Enlarged pores on the skin indicate a lack of vitamin E, omega-3, molybdenum and silicon. The seaweed contains polyunsaturated acids and, thanks to this, get rid of wrinkles. Masks with them rejuvenate and reduce bags under the eyes.
  • Pigmentation and freckles. Algae contains a lot of zinc. It whitens and evens out the skin.
  • Acne and high oily skin. Magnesium, sulfur and iodine are capable of solving the problem. Kelp is rich in them. To whiten your face and remove shine, you do not have to spend money on expensive procedures with a beautician: the mask is easy to make at home on your own.
  • The seaweed mask smoothes old scars and prevents them from growing. This is evidenced by numerous patient reviews.

If you are going to use such masks, you should know about contraindications. The high content of iodine in kelp causes concern among specialists. They believe that the procedure should be treated with caution.
