If the hostess was able to find a successful baking dish, then an excellent dish is guaranteed as well as a great mood and pleasure from the culinary process. Indeed, it often turns out that a successful recipe is spoiled, because a poor-quality form burned all the time or did not allow the dough to be baked. Can you find baking utensils that won't let you down? Sure! The main thing is to have patience and some knowledge, as well as to determine for yourself clear goals for using the form, frequency of application and expectations.

How to choose the right shape?

When choosing a form, two main points should be taken into account: how often you have to bake and which products are simpler or those that can be attributed to culinary masterpieces.

If baking has to be done often, we recommend purchasing dishes of simple geometric shapes. An ideal option is a split form with smooth edges. It is easy to handle and easy to clean.

If you are a creative culinary specialist and love various experiments, then you should buy curly products. So you will have to spend less time on independent know-how to change the shape of the biscuits.

When using one form or another, important indicators must be taken into account.

  1. Heat resistance of materials. A quality baking dish should withstand up to 350 degrees.
  2. Is it acceptable use the dishes in the microwave or put in the refrigerator.
  3. What type of plate is the mold intended for? - for an electric or gas oven.
  4. Do all fasteners and locks look reliable? None of the parts should dangle, and the latch should close tightly and open without squeaks. If you have a really high-quality form in front of you, then it will serve you for many years.

Main characteristics

There are shapes of different heights and diameters. So, for cakes and bread there is a fairly high dish (from 24 to 26 cm) with a smaller plane, and for cakes there are forms from the lowest on the sides, up to 20 cm.

Most often you can find dishes from 15 to 26 cm in diameter. The purchase will depend only on your culinary plans.

Materials depend on whether it is a detachable design or a monolithic... Monoliths are aluminum, cast iron, ceramic or metal. And the detachable base will be aluminum or silicone. Some people prefer glass or steel molds, as the walls of the materials help cakes and pastries to bake quickly without sticking. Although, for the sake of fairness, it should be noted that modern forms almost all have a non-stick coating.

There are several varieties of especially popular forms that are most often used by housewives.

  • Sliding round silicone mold. This type of cookware has a number of advantages. It is soft, adjustable, bends "under the dough", can be easily removed from baking. A round mold with removable rims is most often sold on the market. Many housewives, seeing how soft and flexible the material is, doubt and draw in their imaginations creepy pictures of how silicone melts over their unfortunate cupcakes. However, these are completely unfounded fears. Silicone can heat up to 250 degrees without any problems - the limit of many ovens. The other good news is that they are easy to clean and do not need to be greased when baking. The edges of the detachable part can be connected with special hooks.

The bad news is that the sides of the product are very soft. They are short-lived, often darken and melt or deform on contact with open fire.

    • Aluminum container. The attraction, of course, is the availability. Aluminum is a cheap material that heats up easily, cutting your cooking time in half. Baking does not stick to the edges and bakes well. But the disadvantages include the fact that such a form is very difficult to wash. Sometimes aluminum cookware is deformed.
    • Form with a glass bottom. This is an option when the investment really pays off with interest. The detachable part is made of steel, and the bottom is made of glass. It looks not only stylish, but also copes with the tasks of culinary specialists one hundred percent. The glass is thick and heat resistant. It is very easy to clean and can withstand the highest temperatures. Since the bottom is glass, the hostesses can easily find out if the dish is ready. If you remove the sides, you will have a cake stand.

By the way, you can cut the cake directly on the glass. It is not subject to mechanical deformation.

    Types of baking dishes

Of course, it is easy to imagine that modern forms take on a variety of outlines, but the square and the circle are classics of the genre and favorites of housewives at all times.

For celebrations, models are purchased in the shape of a heart or corrugated. Such assemblies help bake the most spectacular cakes, cakes, puff pies. If you like all kinds of casseroles, then the square split form will be your favorite. It's great that these forms have rounded corners to make it easier to clean the structure. But the round mold is universal and is simply a must for the shopping list. You can cook absolutely everything in it - biscuits, cakes, pies and other sweets.

There are special utensils for baking muffins. It looks like a turret, but in reality it is a round container with a hole in the middle. This is not a fad of the manufacturer, but a purely practical trick: this way the dough can be completely baked inside.

Experienced housewives prefer silicone as a material for muffins, because then it is much easier to remove them from the molds than to try to shake them out of metal blanks, briskly tapping on the bottom to quickly fall out.

For special occasions or for those who, perhaps, bakes very rarely or does not want to bother with dirty structures at all, there is an unusual way out - paper forms! You can use them only once, because they are disposable, but in such a "frame" you can perfectly bake cupcakes, muffins and cakes. The paper does not damp and helps the finished product to maintain its intended shape.

    How to use split designs?

There is nothing tricky about the operation. You just need to collect all the blocks, grease with oil (in the case of silicone dishes, this is not required) and you can pour in the dough. If you are worried about "leaks", then the bottom can be covered with parchment paper. When your product is ready, simply remove it from the mold and send it to the dishwasher or sink for washing.

A baking dish is a necessary purchase that will allow you to unleash your culinary imagination and turn ideas into reality.... You just need to choose your assistant.
