Every woman has her weaknesses. Someone is crazy about the sweet aromas of luxurious perfumery, someone from the mesmerizing brilliance of diamonds on jewelry, but there is not one who does not know the price of beautiful underwear. And even if the legs are covered with inexpensive jeans from the market, and the torso is a light cotton T-shirt, the underwear must be selected with taste.

But even the most sophisticated bra can lose its mesmerizing appearance if worn and washed incorrectly. Therefore, it requires a special attitude towards itself. But you should not be upset, because simple rules for handling your favorite piece of clothing will allow it to serve for a fairly long time.

How to carry and store correctly?

Here are some basic rules:

  • You cannot wear the same bra every day, even if it is more comfortable. Otherwise, it will soon lose its elasticity and attractiveness. You need to wear it at least every other day, so that the product has time to restore its shape and get rid of body odor.
  • The laundry is washed at least every 3-4 times it was put on. Otherwise, it will then be difficult to return it to its original appearance. In summer, you can rinse more often.
  • After 3-4 wearings, you need to wash it immediately, without storing it for a long time in the basket with laundry. The longer it stays there, the more difficult it is to restore freshness to the fabric.
  • Bras are stored in a box separate from other linen. They need to be laid flat, one on top of the other so that the cups of one bra lay on top of the cups of the other. White to white, black to black.
  • Snow-white linen is kept separately, without touching the colored one. To do this, it is better to put it in a separate pile or pack it.
  • A dark item is worn under dark clothing, and a light item under light clothing. This will prevent fiber build-up. If you still want to wear a white bra and your favorite black sweater, then it is desirable that there is a white T-shirt between them.

Handwash

Washing clothes is a mandatory procedure, not only after prolonged wear, but also immediately after purchase. This is due to the fact that even the most expensive bra from a prestigious boutique, as a rule, has already been tried on at least once. Based on this, it would be advisable to wash such a purchase, least, for personal hygiene... Another reason is the presence of factory chemical dyes on new things, which, upon contact with the skin, especially in intimate places, can cause irritation and an allergic reaction. Therefore, it is advisable to get rid of this kind of connections as soon as possible.

Hand wash preserves the original appearance of the laundry, therefore it is recommended for the care of bras, especially those made of sensitive fabrics, with the inclusion of elements such as underwire, push-up (foam or gel) or lace.

The spent 15 minutes are worth preserving the appearance of an expensive item of women's toilet.

To do this, you need to understand a simple list of sequential actions:

  1. It is necessary to fill a large bowl or bathroom with warm water and dissolve a mild detergent in it: gel or liquid. Better, of course, liquid because of its high penetrating effect, and it will be easier to rinse it out. You can mix in a few drops of aromatic essential oils. Detergent can be baby powder, special solutions for washing underwear, or inexpensive shampoo.
  2. Before washing, products are soaked for 20 minutes. Stains can be rubbed with a washcloth or soft brush. Fabric with an unpleasant odor is soaked for up to an hour. The smell of sweat is removed by adding an aqueous solution of soda and salt (1 spoon of each per liter of water). It is not recommended to clean bras of different colors together. It is necessary to observe the color difference. Bright with bright, dark with dark. For daily washing, you can use detergent sparingly - a couple of drops at a time.
  3. When the soaking period has expired, it is time to proceed directly to the cleaning process. Gentle creasing movements should allow the foam to pass through the fibers. The straps lend themselves to more thorough washing - a place of increased plaque adhesion. You can even lightly move a sponge over them. At the end of the process, rinsing is carried out under running water. It is done until the cleaning agent is completely removed and until the water flowing down from the bra no longer contains impurities.

Do not squeeze the product to remove moisture. For this purpose, the laundry is wrapped in a dry towel, where it dries. You can dry it by hanging it on a rope in the center of your bra. You cannot hang up by the straps. Can also be hung on a hook on a hanger.

Drying on a battery or other heaters, as well as under the sun, is unacceptable. This will lead to deformation of the elastic fibers and fading of bright colors.

Machine wash

The method is less time consuming than the previous one, but it is not suitable for all types of laundry. It is undesirable to put in a typewriter push up bras with a gel base, lace and thin fabrics. The rest of the contact with the drum will do little harm. But here, too, you need to take into account some of the nuances.

To wash your bra with underwire you must use a special bag in which the product is placed. The pouch is made of a special mesh material and is tightly zipped. There is also a so-called "sphere", inside which the bra is placed before washing. Ideally, wash your bras in a separate batch. And even if the drum is half empty, the laundry will not succumb to mechanical stress from other things.

But since such washes are not economically profitable, you have to wash your underwear together with other clothes.

Before being put into a typewriter, the bras are sorted by color and density. Do not place rough items or items containing metal elements in the drum with underwear. Before using the machine, it is advisable to soak the fabric in the same way as before hand washing. If necessary, a pouch or sphere is used, the latches and clasps of which are tightly closed. If there are no such special devices, you can put your underwear in an old pillowcase, which is better to sew up, so that when the drum rotates, the bras do not fall out of it.

A delicate mode is selected on the machine panel. Other modes include hot water, which stretches the elastic and also shrinks the fabric. The drying process is the same as after hand washing. Machine drying is not desirable.

Here it is better to reuse liquids for washing baby clothes or especially for underwear because of their rinse properties. After all, powder adhering to the fabric collects dirt on itself when worn.

Care

Lingerie needs special care. Most manufacturers initially supply their products with tags, which indicate the method of washing and storage with international designations. Therefore, if there are doubts about the use of a particular washing method - the pictures on the tag will suggest the correct option.

Only with proper handling will the products retain their presentation. A number of fabric care features:

  • It is unacceptable to use bleaches, in particular those containing calcium hypochlorite. If there is a suspicion that your favorite bra has lost its former whiteness, it is better to add hydrogen peroxide or ammonia (2 tablespoons per 1 liter of water). But before washing, it is important not to forget to rinse the fabric so as not to spoil other things. Cottonseed is aged in a mixture of vinegar and water (1 tablespoon per 1 liter), then rinsed with soap. Silk soak in soapy water for 20 minutes, and then wash with minimal effort. It's the same with chiffon.
  • The use of alcohol-containing substances is not permitted.
  • Conditioners and emollients are excluded. They reduce the elasticity of the straps.
  • The reliability of fixing the hooks and wires in the bra is thoroughly checked. If the seam breaks and the metal bone leaves the cup, then it can damage the mechanisms of the machine and deform the drum, and an unfastened hook will catch on surrounding things, scratching them.
  • Do not turn the cups out during drying. This provokes the appearance of folds and kinks, which noticeably distort the shape of the breast.
  • Laundry with metal bones should not be soaked for a long time to avoid the appearance of corrosive stains on the fabric. And bright colors will fade with long acidification in water.
  • Silicone bra cups are gently washed with soap, rinsed with water and dried under a light cloth to prevent dust adhesion.

It is unacceptable to wipe such products with a cloth, alcohol or clean with a brush. The contact of needles and blades with such cups is unacceptable.

Viscose is less whimsical to caustic substances, therefore chlorine-containing bleaches will not harm it. But ironing such a fabric with a hot iron is not worth it. Polyester fiber also does not tolerate high temperatures, because of this, the temperature of the water for washing should not exceed 30 degrees. Acetate material, like other types of expensive materials, is vulnerable to chlorine. It can be washed by hand in water heated to less than 40 degrees, just like acrylic. Polyamide fabrics can withstand heating up to 60 degrees without changing their properties. Drying the elastic near the heaters will lead to wrinkles and cracks.

It is quite possible to wash a white bra from yellow stains with your hands or in the washing machine at home. High-quality underwear gives its owner self-confidence. Therefore, to the choice of the latter you need to approach very seriously, and not make excuses to yourself that few people see him. Indeed, when choosing to buy in a store or on the market, you should remember that the type of linen can be liked and cheered up not only by its owner.
