Who needs sneakers with a history: SOTHEBY'S auctioned 100 of the rarest sneakers in the world

World famous shoe store Stadium Goods put up for auction at Sotheby's a hundred rarest sneakers in the world. Each shoe pair has a rich and interesting history.

For example, one of the lots is the illuminated sneakers that Marty McFly wore in Back to the Future. Moreover, there are two versions of Nike - Mag 2011 and 2016.

In addition, there are five pairs of exclusive Travis Scott x Air Jordan 4 "Friends & Family", made to order in a single copy.

Among the lots are Nike, Adidas, Jordan Brand and Yeezy. Some models were made to order for famous athletes, some for filming in films, for stage images of singers and dancers.

The main lot, according to Sotheby's experts, is the original sample 1972 Nike Waffle Trainer "Moon Shoe". They were specially created for the 1972 Olympics and only 12 pairs were produced.

In addition to handmade sneakers and factory-made pieces that represent the history of sports shoes, the collection also presented several collectible models for sale, which are a real work of art.
