Loewe apologizes for clothing similar to concentration camp prisoners' uniforms

The luxury brand Loewe is in an awkward situation. He had to apologize to fashionistas all over the world and remove the items of the new collection from his website. The fact is that black and white striped shirt and trouserspresented recently reminded everyone clothes of prisoners of concentration camps during the second world war.

Of course, the fashion house did not mean anything like that, and striped things became part of the William De Morgan capsule collection.

Loewe representatives said that they did not want to hint at anything, and did not even think about the black pages of world history when creating these things.

That is why the scandalous shirt and pants have already been removed from the site and taken off the market, despite the fact that things went on sale only a few days ago. The striped shirt cost $ 950, and the trousers included $ 1840.

This scandal in the fashion world is not the first of its kind. Five years ago Zara chain offered children's striped pajamas with yellow stars on the chest, very reminiscent of the uniforms of the victims of the Holocaust.

Then the designers tried to make "sheriff" stars, and not at all point to the Jewish ones. As in today, they had to urgently withdraw things from sale and remove all references to them.
