Sad news came from Italy, where the fashion director of TsUM and vice president of the jewelry company Mercury died at the age of 62. Alla Verber.
She has always been an example to follow, and no matter what Russian couturiers and stars think about fashion, it was she, Alla, who decided what would be fashionable in a particular season in the capital.
Two days ago, Alla was hospitalized in the clinic of the resort town of Forte dei Marmi. The preliminary cause of death is considered to be a heart attack. Journalists reported, citing members of the Verber family, that the woman had been seriously ill for a long time.
About a decade ago, she was diagnosed with blood cancer, but then a strong and strong-willed beauty managed to defeat the disease. She has repeatedly shared her optimism with others, arguing that oncology is not a sentence, and can still be corrected.
Alla was born in Leningrad in 1958. In 1976, her family left the USSR for Canada, and therefore moved to the United States and then to Italy.
Alla opened her first fashion boutique in Toronto when she was only 26 years old.
In the nineties Alla Verber was the first in Russia to start creating high fashion boutiques... Since 2003, she has taken the post of fashion director of TSUM. Werber was a real buyer - a person who decides which collections of world fashion should be purchased for fashion boutiques in her country.
Alla Verber had a rare talent - with some incredible inner instinct to know for sure in advance, what trends will be in fashion not even in the next season, but for several seasons ahead. The most brilliant Russian stars were waiting for her approval, they listened to her advice.
In Canada, Alla Verber met a young man who became her husband, however, the marriage did not last long, after three years the couple separated. Their daughter Catherine remained with Alla. In the nineties, already in Russia, she met her second husband - businessman David Averbakh.
She lived with him all the remaining years, there were no children in this marriage, but Alla was not sad about this - she became a happy grandmother of two little granddaughters, which her grown-up daughter gave her.
