At first glance, it might seem that the purpose of such a fluffy catwalk is to promote sales of pet clothing. Such outfits, as you know, are quite comparable in cost to clothing for adult women. But no. This time, the designers decided to dress up the animals not for this, but in order to a dozen furry models drew the attention of mankind to the problems of stray animals.
Two dozen models on the catwalk did not come from a cat beauty contest, but from shelters. This was the main condition for the selection of models for the fashion show.
One of the main models of the show, a cat named Wasabi, hit the catwalk after nearly dying in a trash bin, where she was thrown with broken paws at the age of three months.
It took about two years to treat the cat. Then she was transferred to an orphanage, from where Wasabi came to the current owners.
All the proceeds from the tickets sold for the show were donated to a charity to help homeless animals.
