This season was marked by a new fashion trend - the "preppy" style has conquered millions of women and girls around the world.
"Preppy" is an outfit that resembles the uniform of female students from prestigious schools and colleges in Europe. Contrary to the youth theme, the style is also suitable for older women who have long received their certificates and diplomas, assures Senior Editor of Glamor Fashion Department Polina Shabelnikova.
Polina advised women who want to try on preppy clothes to choose bright and distinctive things that are strongly associated with the history of things. For example, cardigans with rhombuses are noteworthy.
Shabelnikova recommends wearing them exclusively with shirts of light shades, or better - with whites.
The final chord can be plaid trousers or a skirt. It is comfortable, stylish and cozy. Polina emphasized that this "preppy" option is suitable for an important meeting, for attending classes at the university, and for a walk. You can dress like this for a date, but for a romantic setting, you should provide nice little accessories in the outfit, for example, you can decorate the cardigan with a small flower brooch.
The image, which is created from a white shirt and a plaid skirt, Polina recommends complementing black satin bow on the neck, and also do not hesitate and boldly choose bright outerwear, for example, a pink coat or an orange down jacket. According to Shabelnikova, from such a bright accent the image will sparkle with new colors.
"Preppy" with short and ultra-short skirts in a checked or striped style is an option for women who are completely satisfied with the shape of the legs, figure and height. But mini is not a mandatory requirement of the trend. The skirt can be of any length, and the trousers can be of any cut.
