The beauty of chocolate hair color is explained by the variety of its shades, the ability of the tone to set off the color of the skin and eyes, to make a woman's appearance brighter. But when choosing this palette, you need to know who it is suitable for, how to correctly dye the curls and take care of them.

Peculiarities

Bitter chocolate belongs to dark, burning shades of brown, it looks aristocratic noble if the hair is healthy in itself... The hue can be obtained by slightly lightening the black, as some black-haired women do to soften the image somewhat. The success of staining in such a tone largely depends on how evenly the color will lie - then a unique shine will appear on the strands, giving a special charm to the face.

Since the chocolate tone is composed of two shades - black and dark brown, this excludes the addition of red and red tints.

The advantage of the fashionable color scheme is:

  • extreme naturalness;
  • visually adding density and volume to the hairstyle;
  • expressive "presentation" of the face with its natural features;
  • dark, but not black hair color slightly "stretches" the oval of the face, presents it in a colder, unapproachable, but chic form.

The color is considered trendy, besides, you can correct its shades quite often. True, choosing a dark chocolate tone for blonde hair, with the right color, it is possible to get any desired shade, but also this is the risk of greatly darkening the strands, making them actually black. The chocolate range includes cool and warming undertones:

  • warm - red, caramel, chestnut, creamy, ruby, copper, bronze;
  • cold - ashy, gray, dark, frosty.

The range of such paints is quite large, but first you need to decide on a color suitable for a woman with a specific appearance.

Who is it for?

To create the perfect look, it is very important to understand who the chocolate shades are for.

  • If you take girls spring color type, who have natural light brown or ashy hair, light or peach skin, as well as gray or blue eyes, it is better for them to choose restrained tones of chocolate, emphasizing the natural features and velvety skin. In most cases, masters do not advise lfvfv too dark shades and solid dyeing - highlighted strands and then dyed in this color will look harmonious.
  • For bright beauties "Summer" type with olive or tanned skin, green eyes and light brown curls, cold undertones of the palette are more suitable, or warm and saturated with reddish highlights.
  • For young ladies type "autumn", with light or brown eyes, skin with freckles, brown hair with reddish or golden tint, dark, and even more so bitter chocolate is not recommended. This appearance is more combined with milky chocolate notes, with reflections of gold and copper on the strands.
  • Cold "Winter" ladies with dark, white skin, brown, green, blue eyes, a dark shade is suitable - bitter, it is good if it is a color with a slight frosty or smoky tint.

Recommendations that can be given for the use of certain tones will be as follows:

  • the color of dark chocolate looks flawless on naturally dark hair, it is perfectly combined with gray eyes and pale skin, making the appearance of such ladies extraordinary;
  • a more natural tone will look with a southern appearance, in combination with dark, olive, pinkish and peach skin, brown eyes;
  • any dark, cold or warm brown color scheme will suit ladies with bright eyes and matte, smooth, fair skin without pronounced flaws.

But it should be added that in any case, such hair requires an accompanying brighter make-up. Light chocolate shades are more suitable for brown-haired women and blondes, which are distinguished by soft and delicate features, unlike brunettes. Warm dark tones are not too different from cold ones - the difference appears only when you are under the rays of the sun, forcing the curls to play with bright highlights. Such shades are also contraindicated for beauties with light eyes, skin, eyebrows and eyelashes.

And one more important note - dark chocolate and its dark undertones cannot be used by young ladies over 30-40 years old, as this will lead to the fact that they will look older than their age. But young girls can safely experiment with chocolate color.

Dyeing technology

The whole point of coloring is to get exactly the tone that suits the appearance. If it is dark chocolate, then you need to know some of the subtleties of the process associated with the original hair color.

  • Best of all, the shade is obtained on light and medium-blond hair, if no toning or coloring has been carried out before. Coloring with red and copper shades, which can spoil the result, is especially undesirable.
  • If the hair color is naturally black, it may not be possible to achieve the depth of the chocolate shade the first time, and the procedure will have to be repeated.
  • With the original reddish strands or a shade of red, it is wiser to choose dark, bitter or dark chocolate, which will paint over the unwanted color scheme.
  • When coloring light curls, it must be borne in mind that the growing light roots will need to be painted over every month, since they look ridiculous, even worse than dark ones against the background of a bleached hairstyle.
  • For dark-haired young ladies painted in other colors, you first need to wash off the old dye, and then dye it with chocolate.

The best paints for coloring in dark chocolate tones: Schwarzkopf Essential Color (270), Palette (89), Wellaton (6.77), Brelil Colorianne Shine (4.38), L'Oréal Casting Creme Gloss (403), Syoss Mixing Colors (1.18) and many others. With an independent procedure for changing the color, you must follow the instructions exactly - prepare the dye correctly and keep the time exactly set, otherwise you may encounter unpleasant surprises.

In order not to distort the color, when painting, do not use metal combs and utensils for diluting the paint.... The treatment should start from the back of the head, highlighting strands no more than 2 cm wide, then stain the parietal part, at the end the hair on the forehead, temples, and last of all - the bangs. If the hair has gray hair, the dyeing time is increased by 10 minutes. Be sure to use the conditioner provided in the package. Dry your hair after rinsing off the dye without using a hot hair dryer.

It is not at all necessary to choose chemical paints containing harmful components. You can also use a combination of henna with basma, but for this you need to strictly observe the proportions so as not to get a frankly red or overly dark, black color. There are some tricks to get the shade you want.

  • For owners of black curls, the option is suitable when basma and henna are taken in equal parts, you will need a packet of each dye. The mixed powder should be boiled with boiling water until a viscous, moderately thick gruel is formed and added to the composition a few drops of any essential oil, a little burdock (castor) oil, a spoonful of honey and conditioner. The hair is thoroughly treated with a mixture, dividing it into strands, then covered with a film, a warm towel and kept for 2-3 hours.
  • For brown-haired and red-haired girls, another recipe is suitable: you need to take a bag of henna, a glass of water and 3 tbsp. l. natural ground coffee. The coffee powder is steamed with a glass of boiling water and cooked for 5 minutes over low heat. The mixture should be cooled to 50 degrees, henna is brewed with it. Having brought the composition to homogeneity, it is applied to the hair, warming the head with cellophane and a cap, held for 2 hours and washed off.

The result of this color is striking in its uniformity and naturalness, moreover, it does not harm the hair at all. Of course, it is best to visit a hairdresser, where the master will be able to paint in accordance with all the rules with a guarantee of safety and quality.

Curl care

Taking care of your hairstyle is important not only before, but also after dyeing. Before the procedure, it is important to strengthen and nourish the roots with useful ingredients using special products and homemade masks. But the resulting color and healthy condition of the hair must be maintained in the future:

  • it is advisable to protect curls from fading and the negative effects of ultraviolet radiation, using special shampoos, styling foams and mousses, as well as hats;
  • for a while, you should leave the habit of drying your hair using devices that provide a high temperature;
  • regularly, up to 2 times a week, masks containing natural oils should be done, paying special attention to the ends of the strands;
  • you can use professional color preservation products.

Blondes and brown-haired women will most likely have to periodically update their tone, since it tends to wash out, for example, due to chlorinated water. Perhaps, in this case, it makes sense not to use persistent formulations, but to use tint tonics and shampoos. If you don't like the shade or get bored, this will make it possible to quickly get rid of it and choose a different tone.
