Recently, buyers are increasingly paying attention to imported tableware brands. And if earlier glassware was usually brought from the Czech Republic, now it is a fairly wide geography of supplies. One of the worthy competitors of Czech manufacturers is the glass company Pasabahce from Turkey.

A brief history of the brand

In 1935, the country's first glass factory was built in Pashabahce, near Istanbul. The production was based on machines from Czechoslovakia and Belgium, and with them the Turks adopted the best traditions of glass production.

The equipment changed over time, new technologies were introduced, and since 1969 the company has been producing crystal dishes. The brand constantly participates in international exhibitions, opens its brand stores in European capitals, and exports products to the USA. Since 2000, the Russian representative office of the company has been operating in Moscow, as well as a small production in the region. Products are sold under the additional brand Borcam.

In 1991, the glass stem lengthening technology was improved, which made the dishes more durable and original.

The company constantly attracts leading designers to work, thanks to which it receives positive reviews at specialized exhibitions around the world.

Range

Quality and design are the main advantages of Pasabahce products. The brand's designers are constantly coming up with unusual solutions or rethinking the classic forms of tableware. The capabilities of the holding, which includes several factories with manual and machine production of glass products, make it possible to achieve the minimum fragility of the products.

This makes them last longer and more convenient to use.

Plate sets

Plate sets are the most popular products of Pasabahce's home cookware. They come in classic white (round and rectangular), which are most often ordered from this brand by cafes and restaurants. But consumers loved the wide variety of colored plates.

There are large and small solid color sets (one of the most popular colors is green), and there are many options with different patterns. For example, with images of plants, wavy and geometric patterns, copies of folk paintings. The technology of photo printing on glass is also used, thanks to which Pasabahce produces plates with landscapes. Separately, one can single out children's series with cartoon characters.

Embossed crystal plates are also popular. They are made with an arbitrary patterned relief or with imitation of a leaf imprint. Fish dishes can follow the shape of the fish itself or depict a seashell.

Baking dishes

Baking dishes are still a little-known, but noteworthy direction of Pasabahce production. This dish differs from its counterparts in the following advantages:

  • high-quality heat-resistant glass;
  • glass high cover;
  • smooth and embossed sides;
  • the presence of handles;
  • many shapes and sizes;
  • low cost.

It should be noted that rectangular shapes are much more convenient to use than oval ones. They allow you to take out individual pieces of the casserole, leaving them beautiful to look at.

Heat resistant crystal with a smooth surface reduces the likelihood of food sticking to dishes.

Goblets

Thanks to the original technology of leg lengthening, Pasabahce glasses are higher than those of other manufacturers. Such a product can be held with two hands, and a strong leg serves as a support for a large volume. As a rule, glasses are made of clear glass and are sold, like plates, in sets or one at a time.

Separately, glasses can be noted that repeat the size and purpose of the classic ones, but have well-defined corners. Such rectangular tableware goes well with the Art Nouveau style and helps to create the appropriate atmosphere at the festive table.

Pasabahce also has colored glasses. It is worth noting the sets for wine, in which the leg of each item is painted in its own color. Such a rainbow looks very original on the table, and guests will definitely not confuse their glasses: each one is different from the others. At the same time, a single style remains consistent.

The Imperial Black series includes sets of wine glasses with deep black legs. Wine glasses are well suited for Art Nouveau designs.

Other models

There are many unusual solutions among Pasabahce products. For example, dish model 28106N is a flat plate with a transparent lid in the form of a bell... A hole has been made on one side of the hood to allow air to enter. Such dishes are not intended for long-term storage of food, but for serving hot dishes, and they will undoubtedly become a remarkable object on the festive table.

You can also note the numerous containers for oil, which are made in the form of jugs in the oriental style. If not for the transparent glass, one would think that a genie lives inside: the design is so authentic, in which the hand of Turkish masters is felt. The disadvantage of the products is the narrow neck of some models, which is why it is not very convenient to wash them by hand. The company also produces gravy boats, but they are usually without lids and have a wide open neck.

Some models of drinking water bottles, which lack threads, and the rubber base for the lid, are very ill-conceived, also cause fair criticism. These bottles are of limited use and cannot be carried with you. Moreover, they are resistant to boiling water, unlike glass decanters from many other manufacturers. There are also a number of other utensils with rubber lids, such as sugar bowls. And, obviously, this is one of the few weak points of the company's products.

Customer Reviews

Most often, buyers note an excellent combination of price and quality. Pasabahce is one of the most budgetary brands, but the quality of products is much higher than analogues in this price segment.

Many are also attracted by the pleasant design and the ability to use the dishes for different purposes.

People like that the brand's dishes can be used not only in the oven, but also in the microwave, and even in the freezer at temperatures down to -40 °. It is easy to wash by hand, as there are no unnecessary parts and hard to reach places, or in the dishwasher. Containers and baking dishes are noted as excellent containers for long-term storage of food. However, consumers point out that water bottles and gravy boats are inconvenient to use.
