The main thing in a multicooker is a bowl, because it is she who participates in the preparation of dishes. Different types of bowls have different properties. The need to purchase a new bowl may arise not only when the old one is worn out, but also when there is a need to have 2 replaceable ones. You can choose different bowls for different models of multicooker - both in volume and in the type of inner coating.

Features of choice

Each model has its own containers, differing in:

  • volume;
  • diameter and height;
  • the presence of dimensional divisions;
  • inner lining material;
  • handles and clamps.

Of course, capacity is one of the main and obvious parameters by which multicooker bowls differ. The most common are five-liter bowls, but the overall volume ranges from 2 to 7 liters. Small specimens are optimal for 1-2 people, but if you have a large family, it is better to purchase a multicooker with a larger bowl.

Why is a scale with marks good? You can calculate the required amount of products for soups, cereals, roasts or just cereals. The manufacturer is also important, because the quality of the product depends on its reputation. The more reliable the manufacturer, the longer the bowl will last and the more convenient it is to use it.

That, what is the inside of the cup covered with, depends on the purpose of the multicooker and on what it is planned to cook in it - fry, boil, stew, bake, or do everything at once. There are models in which the design can provide for several cups - for different operating modes.Also, manufacturers are developing universal cups that can be matched to various models of multicooker.

If you know for sure that you will need a replacement bowl, it is better to buy it right away with a multicooker, so as not to look for a compatible one later.

Manufacturing material

All multicooker bowls are aluminum, the only difference is in the inner additional coating. By the type of coverage, they are as follows.

  • Not covered with anything. The materials for their manufacture are aluminum or stainless steel. They are immune to mechanical stress, durable, but dishes often burn.
  • Non-stick. This is primarily about Teflon - this coating is most often used as an internal one. It does not interact with food, distributes heat evenly during cooking. But it is quickly erased, especially if you do not use metal tools - forks, knives. Teflon is also very susceptible to temperature extremes.
  • Ceramic. Such products can withstand high temperatures without emitting toxic compounds. But ceramics are fragile and must be handled with great care.

Each type has its advantages - the ones made of metal are the best in balance, and those covered with Teflon are more comfortable than others. Of course, there are no such copies that would not have any advantages, since every household appliance manufacturer is constantly working to improve the quality of its products.

How to match bowls to multicooker?

Compatibility plays an important role not only in terms of bowl size, but also other parameters. To correctly match one to the other, you need to take into account the height, volume and diameter. If the bowls of the model you have are not available, it makes sense to look for a compatible one of the same brand or a different one. For perfect compatibility of containers with a multicooker, they must match in size and basic characteristics.

To pick up a bowl, you need to measure its height, diameter, and the volume is known initially. Such information is contained in the multicooker passport, and if it is lost, you can simply measure the capacity. This can be done quickly and simply with a ruler. What you need to measure:

  • diameter - it is measured using a regular ruler in the area as wide as possible (if the width is not the same);
  • the height - it must be measured from the lowest point on the outer edge to the top of the bowl, and the height of the lid must also be taken into account;
  • shape - the outer side is also taken into account, the tightness of the multicooker and the taste of the food being cooked depend on it.

Compatibility table

As already noted, the removable container should be completely placed in the multicooker and allow it to be closed during the cooking period. If the bowl is smaller than the original bowl, it will receive less heat from the heating element. This cannot but affect the speed and quality of cooking. And a bowl with a large diameter or volume simply will not fit in a multicooker or will interfere with the airtight closing of the lid.

It is important to know that coincidence in the main parameters does not guarantee compatibility, since there are multicooker that work correctly only with accessories of their own brand. In this case, only the same manufacturer as the multicooker itself can find a suitable container.

You need to very carefully study the initial data specified in the operating instructions for your unit, so as not to buy an unsuitable container for you. Especially if you buy an expensive one - ceramic or PTFE coated.

Types of bowls

The list of bowls that can be used to replace containers that have become unusable in different models of multicooker can always be supplemented, since new modifications are periodically released. They, in turn, are compatible with various other containers. Therefore, in order to avoid unpleasant situations it is better if you select the right bowl and make sure that it is compatible with the multicooker you have before buying.

If everything matches, and the bowl fits tightly along the edges and in the area of the heating element, then you can buy it. Before using the device, the container must be thoroughly washed, dried outside and inside.

There are several lines of containers for multicooker.

  • "Eco" - there is no coverage, the most budgetary option. Suitable for cooking any kind of food.
  • "Classic" - coating only inside.
  • "Premium" - coating on both sides (inside black, outside silver-bronze or similarly black).
  • "Proff G1" - the material of manufacture is aluminum, the inside is covered with a layer of stainless steel. The coating is one-sided.
  • "Budget" - coating is double-sided, non-stick. The coating contains fluoroplastic in the base.
  • "Kerama" - as the name suggests, the bowls are made of ceramics, the inner coating is made of low-temperature glass enamel with fluoroplastic. Outside, they are covered with an anti-adhesive layer, also with fluoroplastic, or they are not covered at all. The containers have excellent resistance and are not easily susceptible to abrasion. They are easy to clean.

Most of the manufacturers with a good reputation and long-standing presence on the market of household appliances offer the entire list of bowls, so the selection can be made not only in accordance with the parameters, but also in accordance with the desired container coverage. For example, if you need several interchangeable containers for replacement, you can purchase one "indestructible", the other is more expensive (you can stop at an eco-bowl and a ceramic one). In the first one it will be possible to cook everyday meals, and in the second - baked goods and cereals.
