All customs officers on duty are required to wear overalls. The customs form is issued to officials along with all the necessary insignia free of charge and, if necessary, is replaced with a new one.

Requirements

The first customs uniforms appeared on the territory of Russia back in 1827. Until 1917, the shape remained practically unchanged. After the arrival of the Soviet authorities, the uniform underwent minor changes. For several decades, the number of items that come with a uniform has been constantly changing. Also, the symbolism that adorns the costumes was periodically changed.

Modern workwear for those working at the border was introduced in 1998. Then, for the first time, shoulder straps began to be used, which make it possible to understand who the employee performing the service is. Also, a list of things that members of this state organization should wear was fixed.

The main requirement for the customs form in Russia is that all customs officials must dress in the same color, style and cut. In the days of tsarist Russia, the color of the uniforms of customs officers depended on which province he was in. Now the whole country uses a single color scheme. Clothes are sewn in blue or dark green.

Modern clothing for customs officers is different:

  • simple cut;
  • the presence of shoulder straps that are attached to the shoulders;
  • identification symbols of the Russian Federation.

Since the uniform is casual wear, it must be of very high quality and durable.... Also, for the convenience of customs officers, it is equipped with the necessary number of pockets, which can fit all the things that must always be at hand.

Male and female equipment

Since everyone works at customs in the same conditions, the uniform for women and men who serve there is made of the same material. For its sewing, a dense semi-woolen fabric is used, which keeps its shape well. In addition, it perfectly protects from the cold and slowly gets wet, so it is suitable for wearing in any weather.

Mens

The set of clothes for men working at customs includes trousers, a tunic and a jacket. The outerwear is complemented by four convenient pockets. Two of them are fastened with buttons for reliability. For fastening shoulder straps on the shoulders, there are so-called belt loops. The jacket is fastened with a regular zipper. Therefore, it is very easy to take it off and put it back on. On holidays, a basic set of clothes is complemented by a tie.

Womens

The main difference between the female form is that a skirt is included in the package instead of trousers. Comfortable fit and correct length make it comfortable for everyday wear. The women's jacket is also slightly different. It has a semi-fitted silhouette, so it looks great on any figure.

The winter set includes a warm hat or cap, short coat, gloves and warm ankle boots.

Both women and men are prohibited by the rules to mix items of uniform and civilian. In addition, the clothing must not be decorated or altered in any way.

Costumes of customs officers of different countries

The uniform of customs officers in different countries does not differ much. In addition to colors, details such as:

  • cockade decorating a headdress;
  • stripes;
  • design of shoulder straps.

You can see the difference in the example of Kazakhstan. The country has recently introduced a new uniform for customs officers. It is intended for those who do not work at the customs border of the EAEU.

The new form is distinguished by black stripes with inscriptions in the Latin alphabet. In addition, a different cockade is used. The tin badge on the headwear is made of a gold-colored metal alloy and has a logo in the center.

How to maintain your uniform?

In order for the form to always look presentable, it must be properly cared for. This is the responsibility of every customs officer. There are some simple rules for caring for your clothes.

  • When washing things in a typewriter, you need to choose a mode that is suitable for woolen fabrics. In this case, it will wear out more slowly, which means that things will not have to be changed often.
  • Contaminated cuffs and sleeves can be Handwash only, if the machine does not do the job well.
  • When ironing, it is recommended to use steam function... This will speed up the process and help smooth out even the most difficult to reach areas.
  • Storing clothes is best on a wide hanger. The tunic, jacket and jacket can be hung on a hanger.

With proper care, both formal and casual uniforms always look good.

Summing up, we can say that modern Russian customs uniform is of high quality and comfort. Therefore, even in difficult working conditions, it retains an attractive appearance and does not cause any unpleasant sensations to the wearer.
