For walks with children, some parents purchase scooters. They are produced by a large number of companies and there is a huge range of models. But among all rollers, models of the 5-in-1 type, or as they are also called "Ladybug", differ. Today we will look at how these models are universal, how to assemble and operate them.

Functionality and differences

Children grow up quite quickly, and for them you need to often purchase suitable things. The scooter is the same, because the child gets taller and the roller is small. Children's transformer scooters have been created especially for such situations. They have several folding modes to fit your child's size.

The most important difference from conventional scooters is the package bundle, which is much larger and more variable. It is worth noting that all Ladybug skaters are three-wheeled, and in such a way that two wheels are in front and one is behind. This shape of the structure allows you to turn sharply and at the same time have full control over the steering.

Sizes also differ. Due to the fact that there are a lot of parts, mobility suffers. But you can quickly disassemble the scooter and make it small and compact.

Most models of this type have additional functions. Usually, these are luminous LED wheels, bells, baskets and much more. During assembly, you can read the instructions that should be in the box with the scooter. The rules of operation and application are described there. The 5-in-1 name comes from five key parts that come with the package.

Assembly instructions

Upon purchase, you will receive the following list of items:

  • fasteners;
  • basket in the form of a ladybug;
  • parental handle;
  • back;
  • steering rack;
  • key;
  • platform with wheels;
  • seat.

Let's consider step by step how to properly assemble a balance scooter with a parent handle.

Seat

You will need to pull out the seat support. It is somewhat similar to a simple stethoscope. In order to remove it, you will need to pinch its edges (which are inserted into the grooves) and then pull out the support.

Flip the seat over. In the middle, you should be able to see several pairs of holes. If your child is very small, then install through the holes that are closer to the end of the saddle. We will consider the option with a center mount.

After that, you will need take the support and press it to the middle. Take one anchor from the kit and then place it against the middle of the seat. Using a few bolts supplied, screw on the support.

After the initial procedure, insert the support into the grooves in the same way as you pulled it out before.

Steering rack

Next, take the steering rack. Below you can see special latches that will fix the steering wheel. Insert it into the special hole on the front of the scooter. Press in the mechanism until you hear a characteristic click. He will let you know that the joining of the parts was successful.

At the front of the seat there is a special fork that needs to be fixed to the steering column. There are several levels on it for the height of the seat. Adjust them individually for your child.

In order to permanently fix the saddle, insert it into the desired groove on the steering column.

After that, you will need to insert the bolt and nut into the special hole that will be between the end of the saddle and the post. You need to tighten both the bolt and the nut. Thus, the seat will be supported by the support to the platform and the handlebars. If these steps are performed correctly, the structure will hold tight.

Parent handle

Then you will need to install the parent handle. The method is approximately the same as for the steering rack. The handle must be pushed into the hole until there is a click. In order to make the structure even stronger, you can install a special ring between the parent handle and the seat.

This ring is a rim with a bolt hole. This attachment must be slipped onto the parent handle and then brought to the end of the saddle. There will also be holes underneath, similar to the ones you attached the support to. Secure the ring with the bolt. Thus, the saddle will have attachments on three sides.

Basket

Next comes the turn of the ladybug basket. In the hardware bag, you will find a curved chip with four slots. To it you need to substitute the sides of the basket. They must match so that the holes of the chip and the basket are flush. Fastening also takes place through bolts.

If your basket is moving or wobbling, then fix it more tightly. In order to install the basket without any problems, tighten the bolts crosswise. So the structure will not move out and will not bully in a specific direction.

Back

The very last detail is the backrest. Its fixation is the same as for the basket. The only difference is that the mount contains two holes, not four.

The whole assembly process takes about 5-6 minutes... Of the tools, you only need a screwdriver. It should be said that there are special buttons on the parental handle and steering wheel, with which you can adjust their height. You can also reposition the saddle in the handlebar slots.

Some models have a melody playback function.

To activate it, you will need to turn the platform over and find a closed compartment. You can open it with a screwdriver by unscrewing the bolt. Insert the batteries, screw the lid back on. Various manufacturers also add parking footrests or footrests to the package.

If the assembly fails, then check if you are doing it correctly. It also happens that some manufacturers confuse components.Because of this, the buyer cannot attach any part to the scooter. In this case, you should contact the store from which you purchased the roller.

Criterias of choice

Since these scooters are versatile, the choice is quite simple. It is worth noting that all the presented models have different wheel diameters. The larger they are, the better the shock absorption on bumps on the road will be. Colors and weight support also vary.

Pay attention to the price. Although these models appear to be the same, their specifications and prices vary. Before buying in a store, make sure that the components are intact, that the package contains all the declared spare parts.

If the product description says that there are various auxiliary functions, for example, LED wheels or a bell, then check their work.

Reviews

    Most buyers speak positively about this type of scooter. They love functionality, durability, easy assembly and versatility. The owners are happy that these rollers can change with the child, because all that needs to be done is to remove unnecessary parts as the user grows up.

    There are also negative reviews, which are associated with the inconsistency of components. Some buyers were confused that some of the fasteners and bolts did not fit the desired holes. Thus, people were unable to assemble the scooter correctly due to inappropriate parts assembly.

    In addition to the design, buyers note that the steering wheel often does not go straight, but to the right. That is, if the child skates on his own, the scooter will ride in a circle. Such a roller is rather difficult to control, since a small child does not have enough strength to completely twist the steering wheel.
