As you know, fashion is changeable. Designers, competing with each other, invent new shoe models. However, there are products that are always relevant - these are Mongolian boots, which will bring warmth and comfort to your wardrobe on frosty days, and will also become a stylish accent of your look.

What do they look like?

From time immemorial, the Mongols have been renowned as excellent equestrians with excellent animal handling skills. For horseback riding, appropriate shoes were needed - with a high boot (reaching to the knee), a raised pointed top, with a heel, made of durable material.

Subsequently, the name "Mongolian boots" (or "Mongolians") was assigned to these products.

Traditionally, Mongolians were made from genuine yak skin and insulated with dog fur from the inside. The shoes had to be as comfortable as possible for the rider: due to the thoughtful heel height and hard back, the foot did not get tired in it for the whole day. And the rolled up sock was not only a beautiful detail, but also a necessary protection from the steppe sand. Mongolian boots were unusually warm footwear, as required by the climate of the inhabitants of cold latitudes. These shoes retained warmth even at very low temperatures (up to minus 40 degrees), in addition, they kept the rider's feet dry.

Skilled craftsmen made boots according to certain rules. Shoes were sewn with straight, very strong seams, which gave strength to the products. Initially, the boots had neither fasteners nor lacing. They fit tightly to the leg. By the way, the first time Mongolians wore wet, right after the craftsmen finished their work - in this case, the shoes took the shape of a foot. Note that the heels did not interfere with the men while walking.

Interestingly, during the period of the Golden Horde, boots were not divided into left and right - they were sewn in exactly the same way.

From the middle of the 18th century, Mongols began to be part of the uniform of the Cossacks. They differed in a slightly curved heel and had a yellowish, red or green tint.

Modern Mongolian boots are somewhat reminiscent of cowboy boots. But nevertheless, in general, they retained their original design (in particular, the original sock, high bootleg), colors and comfort. The felt sole additionally stimulates the feet and provides a gentle massage, which promotes good blood circulation.

Mongolian women for modern women of fashion are, of course, not a vital necessity, but a stylish wardrobe item.

Real Mongolian boots are made, of course, in Mongolia. These are handicrafts by talented shoemakers, not mass-produced. Each season they develop a new collection, changing colors and accessories (interestingly, each pair of shoes has a unique factory number). The only thing that remains unchanged is the high quality of the boots and, of course, their excellent ability to keep warm.

Models

The range of Mongolian boots is presented today by adults (both men and women) and children. Traditionally, these are products with a high bootleg, in some models the height is adjusted due to the fact that the top can be turned away, getting a wide fur trim, which looks very impressive. Some models are equipped with side straps that allow you to adjust the width of the boot, and this also protects the shoe from snow getting inside.

Mongolians are very popular among women today - many sophisticated women of fashion are crazy about ethnic style. Most of the women's models are decorated with hand-made embroidery, decorative seams, embossing, fur and other elements. Masters embroider ancient symbols with silk threads, which can mean beauty, health, success, wisdom and other qualities.

As for the male models, their design is more masculine and restrained, the boots are practically devoid of decor. The functional purpose comes to the fore - to protect from the cold even in the most severe conditions.

A variety of Mongolian boots are winter fur boots, which are especially loved by women and little girls, because it is difficult to find other more colorful and practical shoes.

Fluffy fur trim emphasizes the grace of a woman's leg.

In the manufacture of high fur boots, designers do not limit themselves only to a comfortable flat sole - they create options with heels and wedges that look very feminine. The fur top, decorated with a miniature bow, looks cute.

Material

Traditionally, Mongolian boots are made from extremely durable yak leather. Inside, the shoes are insulated with fur of northern breeds, which is famous for its not only heat-saving, but also medicinal properties. As for the insole, it is usually also made of dog fur or felt.

The lining material can also be yak or camel wool, sheepskin - all of them also have high heat retention parameters. The most valuable and durable boots are sewn from beaver fur. Some women's models are sewn by brand manufacturers on fox fur.

The leather surface of the boots can be combined with textile inserts, which also looks very interesting.

The sole of Mongolian shoes usually has a three-layer structure, which includes rubber and a felt layer (as an option, camel's wool). The sole is very thick, non-slip. Its strength is achieved due to the fact that it is simultaneously glued and stitched with nylon thread.

Colour

The color scheme of Mongolian boots is not very diverse. Traditionally, it is black, all kinds of shades of brown. Less common are gray, burgundy, green models.

Color combinations look spectacular: for example, fur inserts or belts can have a lighter or darker shade.

Who are they suitable for?

Mongolian winter boots are very warm shoes, so they are preferred by hunters, fishermen and just outdoor enthusiasts (for example, those who like to ride a snowmobile). In addition, Mongolians are in demand among people whose work is associated with prolonged exposure to the cold. In such shoes, not only is it warm, but the legs also do not get tired.

However, some men wear Mongolian boots in their daily life as part of an urban style. They look especially impressive on young slender guys.

Mongolian boots and high fur boots are also suitable for children. Their sole is very stable, protects against falls on ice. Parents don't have to worry about their baby's feet getting cold.

What to wear with?

As for the stronger sex, men usually wear Mongolian boots with jeans or stylish tight trousers. From above, such an ensemble will ideally complement a down jacket. A hat also in ethnic style will not hurt (as an option, it can be decorated with the same fur as the boots).

Women's Mongolians look great with jeans, leggings and tight-fitting trousers, which are usually tucked inside the shoe. Such a set looks especially harmonious if the clothes are decorated with embroidery, rhinestones, beads - as if they continue the ethnic theme of shoes.

Mongolian boots are successfully combined with turtlenecks, tight pullovers, but also loose sweaters that have some kind of decor.

Fashionistas love to wear these shoes with antique style dresses. But here it is important to adhere to the condition: the higher the bootleg, the shorter the dress should be. Courageous young ladies wear Mongolian skirts with midi-length A-line skirts. A long colorful skirt also looks original with this shoe.

A bold image (associated with someone with a horsewoman, with someone with a hunter) will harmoniously complement a fur handbag also in the Mongolian style. An excellent solution is also fur mittens.

As for women's high fur boots with a fur trim, they look gorgeous with a mini-skirt or a short dress.

Reviews

Buyers note that Mongolian boots are highly durable when compared with other winter shoes (after several seasons, socks practically do not change their appearance).

Men are especially pleased with these shoes, for whom, above all, its heat-saving parameters are important. They comfortably go in for Mongolian fishing, for example, winter fishing. Moreover, they go for ice fishing at minus thirty degrees, putting on boots with a warm knitted toe. It would be nice, as the representatives of the stronger sex reason, if the Mongols put the production of these shoes on stream - there is a serious demand for them among fishermen.

According to knowledgeable buyers, good Mongolian boots come with personalized numbers.

The looks are based on a spectacular combination of brutality and femininity. Black demi-season boots in the Mongolian style are made in an elegant black color, they are distinguished by a characteristic wide bootleg and a pointed slightly raised nose. The model with a small heel is decorated with a decorative buckle on the side.

Wide boots emphasize the grace of a woman's legs. These slightly rude shoes are combined with a flared skirt in a small floral pattern and an elegant plaid jacket - a rather feminine and romantic outfit. There is a certain analogy with the image of a horsewoman - only a bicycle plays the role of a horse.

The fashionista's shoes are a variation on the theme of Mongolian high fur boots with their wide fur trim.
