The fashion industry has turned its attention to fall and winter hats, greatly increasing the variety. Now, in many street looks, this accessory is necessarily present, which, moreover, saves from the cold. Bulky knitted hats enjoy special attention and love, because they attract a lot of attention and give a special cozy mood to the look.

There are several especially popular styles of voluminous hats. For example, these are hats with one and two cuffs, due to which volume is created. The main advantage of such hats is additional warming of the forehead and ears, and they look very trendy.

Another popular style, especially loved by young people, is beanie - hats that are often worn so that the crown hangs down to the back of the head. These are form-fitting models, so thick yarn is used to achieve volume. For women, this is a great versatile option that can be worn with either a down jacket or a padded coat.

Not everyone knows how to knit, but many women of fashion know how to understand various patterns. A beautiful pattern is one of the ways to make a hat original, give it a special character and, finally, decorate it. Often the volume depends on the chosen pattern.

The most popular are patterns of braids and plaits, they can be part of the Aran pattern. Knit them in the form of inclined loops.

Volumetric columns, rhombuses, and English gum are popular. This pattern is not bulky by itself, however, when combined with thick yarns, it gives the desired result.

You can also add volume to the product using separate knitted details, for example, leaves, bumps, patterns. They add volume to the hat and serve as an original decorative element.

A bulky hat can be obtained not only thanks to the knitting method, but also to the yarn itself. It is thick, soft, and most often pleasant to the touch. The most common materials are from angora, merino, wool, alpaca, mohair, cashmere; silk, linen, cotton, bamboo may be present in the yarn. Each material has its own texture and also a price category.

Voluminous hats are great for any facial features, even if the shape is round or oval. This doesn't make your face look even rounder, so don't worry. Owners of pronounced cheekbones and graphic, sharp features should take a closer look at models of bulk knitting, but not yarn.

The situation is different with the styles of hats. So, long beanies or models with volumetric elements on the crown of the head are suitable for chubby, as they visually stretch the face. Fashionistas with a square chin can balance the upper part of the face with hats with one or two cuffs. If, on the contrary, the upper part of the face is larger due to the prominent forehead, then the hat can be pulled up to the eyes.

When it comes to hats, the first thing to think about is drawing a bow along with outerwear. It is customary to take off hats indoors, and if not, it will simply be hot in a well-heated room.

Bulky hats are in trend, so they will be appropriate in any look, even with a fur coat. Of course, we are not talking about very chic styles of floor-length fur coats or from rare fur, because such status items require a more restrained nature of companion items. However, cropped models and sheepskin coats will look great with a knitted hat, creating a single harmonious look. For example, a voluminous beanie will suit a long nap fur coat. In the case of a combination with a fur coat, you should also play with the combination of colors.

For coats, regardless of style, and leather jackets, it is recommended to select more concise models of hats. They should not stand out due to large decorative elements or bright colors.

But the freedom in choosing extravagant hats will be given by jackets and down jackets. It is their combination with voluminous hats that is the most common and, one might say, classic.

In the cold season, it will not be superfluous to pick up a scarf for the hat, unless we are talking about a snood that performs both functions at the same time. A scarf, gloves or mittens should be matched directly to the hat so that they match or complement each other in color, decor, texture.

Of course, it happens that the hat can be worn without outerwear. On slightly warmer days or, for example, on a skating rink. Then voluminous hats will look great with all kinds of sweaters or knitted dresses.
