A scarf-scarf or bactus is one of the most popular and versatile wardrobe items of a modern girl. It allows you to complement any style and image. And it is not only a female accessory, but also a male one.

The main advantage of bactus is that it can be knitted from the leftover yarn, or you can use any that is at hand. They knit it more often on knitting needles, but crocheted models have appeared for a very long time.

When knitting, you can use almost all techniques - these are motives, and lace, and dense garter knitting, and many others. It all depends on the knitting skills.

Classic baktus is a 120x150 cm headscarf made of wool. The idea for such a scarf came from Norwegian folk costumes, therefore it implies the presence of geometric or floral patterns on it. But fashion trends do not stand still.

Today bactus is decorated with tassels, fringes, pom-poms or textured knitting.

In addition to warm winter options, designers have introduced on the catwalks and summer scarves made of cotton, not exceeding a size of 70 cm. Such an accessory goes well with summer dresses or T-shirts. Summer models are most often decorated with lace or knitted with a very fine knitted "spider line".

How beautiful to tie?

The very first, classic way to tie bactus is with a corner forward. Throw on a scarf, cross the corners and pass them forward. This is the simplest and easiest way.

The second option is in principle the same as the first, but it is necessary to wrap it several times in order to tightly wrap the neck. This method is a warmer option and will provide excellent protection from the wind.

If it gets cold in the office or at home, then you can put the scarf over your shoulders like a regular shawl, if the size of the product allows you to do this.

In the cold season, for those who do not like hats, you can tie it like a headdress. Put a scarf over your head, cross the ends around your neck and tie them together.

Another option is to tie it like a turban. You need to put it on your head, tuck it near the forehead and, crossing the ends, direct them around the head and tie.

Another version of the turban is done like this. We throw bactus over our head, like a towel after a shower. On the forehead we cross the ends, wrap the head around and fix them below under the scarf.

These are the main options for how to tie a scarf-scarf. With a little imagination, every woman can come up with her own ways.

How to wear?

As a rule, a scarf-scarf is a winter wardrobe item, therefore it is ideally combined with winter coats, short coats, jackets, raincoats, a warm sweater or cardigan. Even the most ordinary jacket of an inconspicuous style can be supplemented with bactus and the image will become brighter.

The size and design of the baktus depends on the silhouette of the outerwear. With a coat of a straight cut or a fitted silhouette, baktus of any size will look. It can be small scarves, balleos or giant bactus. But the silhouette of the dressing coat allows the combination only with a scarf or bib.

There are many ways to tie bactus. Some have been described above. It all depends on the fantasy. Some scarf designs can be secured with a brooch. For example, it will look appropriate on small kerchiefs, where the ends cannot be tied together. Or on large baktus, securing the edges with a brooch to make a poncho.

Some fashionistas may wear bactus on their hips or drape a headscarf from the shoulders to the waist like a summer top. In cold weather, it is appropriate as a turban or turban on the head. Well, or just like a regular scarf. The versatility of this wardrobe item leaves room for imagination.

As stated earlier, baktus came to modern wardrobe from the Norwegian folk costume tradition. It has undergone many modernizations these days and has appeared in Bosnian, Turkish and Japanese styles. The images with him are multifaceted and interesting.

For example, in early autumn or late spring, a small baktus, tied in a classic way, with an angle forward, will suit a denim jacket. It will give warmth and complement your everyday look.

A medium-sized bactus with fringe several tones brighter than the tone of the jacket and complemented by tassels will be combined with a leather jacket. You can tie such a scarf-scarf in the same classic way, tying the ends together around the neck.

A bright bactus option combined with a light white turtleneck will be appropriate on a cool summer day. For rainy summer weather, designers advise replacing the bactus with a medium-sized scarf and adding a cardigan.

Instead of a cardigan, bactus is also combined with warm jackets or sweaters. Sizes, colors, knitting and the manner of tying a scarf makes the image with a regular jacket brighter and more original.
