  • constant exposure to sunlight;

When carbon deposits begin to appear on the bottom of the pan and on the sides during cooking, this means that the metal has begun to corrode. Getting rid of it is pretty easy.

First wash

Before you start cooking your food, a new pan should be prepared for the frying process. Experienced housewives use the calcination method, which can be done in several ways.

First:

  1. the oven heats up to 220 degrees;
  2. a well washed and dried frying pan is placed in the oven;
  3. for 3 hours, the dishes are inside, while the oven is tightly closed and the temperature in it is stable;
  4. after the time has elapsed, the oven turns off, but does not open, and the pan is there until it cools completely.

But note that this option can only be used if there is no plastic handle in the pan, or it can be removed.

Second:

  1. wash and dry the container well;
  2. set on the stove and pour salt, about 1 centimeter;
  3. for an hour, a frying pan with salt is on fire;
  4. after that, the salt is thrown away, and the bottom is wiped;
  5. While the pan is still hot, pour vegetable oil on the bottom to form a non-stick coating.

How to fight?

Here is the most reliable way, it involves the use of oil. You need to do the following:

  1. preheat the oven to 220 degrees;
  2. put a frying pan inside it, wait until it heats up;

  4. wipe the bottom well with a sponge previously soaked in vegetable oil;
  5. put back in the oven;
  6. when the oil burning process is over, the oven turns off;
  7. after the pan has cooled completely, you can remove it.

This method is effective, but before you start, be sure to turn on the hood, if there is one. If not, open all windows and doors.

This is necessary so that the waste that will come from burning oil does not smoke all the rooms. To avoid burning after each use, the pan should be washed and wiped dry. The cast iron pan should be stored exclusively in a dry place, as moisture will contribute to the appearance of corrosion.

Cleaning methods

To clean a cast-iron frying pan, you can and should use "grandmother's" methods and folk wisdom. Homemade detergents are perfect for washing these dishes and will help prevent sticking.

Lemon acid

You won't surprise anyone with the use of citric acid for cleaning. It is characterized by safety and efficiency. The procedure is as follows:

  1. rinse the pan under warm water;
  2. Pour citric acid on the surface and wait 5 minutes;
  3. then wipe the surface of the dishes;
  4. rinse well and dry.

Mustard powder

They can remove even the most persistent and long-standing fat:

  1. melt the fatty layer that has formed on the surface;
  2. Drain the fat, and pour the powder into the pan, for 25 minutes;
  3. after that, the dishes must be washed.

Soda and vinegar

Another frequently used methods in combating sticking:

  1. vinegar is mixed with water in equal amounts;
  2. a chemical reaction must occur between the components, the result of which will be the formation of a paste;
  3. the paste is applied to the surface for 35 minutes.

Soap solution

This is one of the oldest ways how to restore the product:

  1. rub with laundry soap;
  2. prepare a saucepan that is larger than the pan;
  3. water is poured into a saucepan and brought to a boil;
  4. grated soap and PVA glue are added to boiling water;
  5. when the soap dissolves, you need to lower the cast-iron pan into this "compote" for 3 hours;
  6. after the time has elapsed, the pan is removed and washed.

As you can see, everything is quite simple and accessible. Almost all the substances for preventing and removing carbon deposits are in the kitchen.
