Boho style for the plump

Boho style for the plump

Boho chic is one of the newest trends in the fashion world. This style is considered an excellent solution for full ladies, as it gives them the opportunity to wear comfortable clothes, while feeling stylish and confident. It is also in demand among obese women.

History of appearance

A number of experts believe that the boho style owes its name to the Gypsies, more precisely, to the Bohemia region in the Czech Republic, where they lived in large numbers and from where they sometimes moved to France. Disregarding generally accepted fashion rules, these nomads developed their own unusual and bright style of clothing, the main distinguishing feature of which was layering.

Subsequently, the new direction was to the taste of people of art, in fact, the same nomads, constantly moving from place to place in search of new impressions and inspiration.

In the 60s of the last century, boho became popular among hippies.

But the impetus to the modern boho style, according to the designers, in 2000 was given by Kate Moss, who ventured to wear seemingly not glamorous and even incompatible things.

Today it is a fashion trend that is equally in demand in various social and age groups.

Distinctive features

Modern designers are using a new direction to create numerous collections, including for the fair sex with curvaceous forms.

Its features are:

  • simple cut;
  • practicality;
  • the use of exclusively natural fabrics (cotton, wool, linen, burlap, knitwear, less often fur);
  • bright prints in the form of asymmetric patterns and ethnic ornaments;
  • layering in the form of tiered skirts, frills, or wearing several parts, dressed one on top of the other;
  • the use of a large number of various parts;
  • lack of tight-fitting silhouettes;
  • texture - wrinkled, uneven, rough, frayed, cut and fleecy materials;
  • versatility - it can be easily combined with other fashion trends and styles;
  • the combination of the incompatible - here a summer dress can be easily combined with boots and a wide-brimmed hat. Knitted things can also complement the image, for example, openwork sweaters in tandem with a sundress;
  • lack of heels.

The loose fit makes boho clothes ideal for overweight women, allowing you to hide figure flaws. Bright prints and accessories emphasize individuality and make you look stylish, fashionable and attractive.

Unlike other areas, where modest styles are offered for women with curvaceous shapes with little or no embellishments and additions in the form of frills and laces, almost everything is possible here. But in moderation. The main thing when creating an image is not to overload it and correctly place accents.

The use of large and catchy accessories (massive bracelets, elongated pendants, long beads in several tiers and scarves) will help divert attention from the features of the figure. But at the same time it is important to remember that all decorations that complement the bow must be exclusively natural, like the fabrics used. The best option is handmade decorative accessories.

What to consider when choosing?

To look beautiful and stylish is the natural desire of a woman at any age and with any shape. And here again the boho style comes to the rescue. In boho outfits, aged women can visually not only shed extra pounds, but also look younger by several years.

To accomplish a miracle, it is enough just to pay special attention to some points:

  • Cut. Things should not hang like a bag and resemble a shapeless cover. It is worth choosing models decorated with vertical patterns that "stretch" the figure.
  • Length. An excellent option for women after 50 with a magnificent figure will be not only dresses and maxi skirts, but also models of medium length.
  • Style... Even older ladies should abandon simple canopies and pay attention to A-shaped silhouettes, high-waisted dresses or trapeze models. Each of these styles is capable of reliably masking figure flaws and age-related changes.
  • Colour... The style itself is quite striking. But full fashionistas are better off choosing an image that combines no more than three contrasting tones. If there are drawings on things, you should choose those that combine several shades of the same color.
  • Asymmetry... Using this "trick" will divert attention from the figure and emphasize individuality.
  • Accessories... Large glasses, a scarf or a light scarf will help in the transformation. Use a wide-brimmed hat and oversized bag as a distraction.

Original outfits

The boho style is an improvisation, a flight of imagination. However, here too, fashion dictates its own rules. Simplicity and negligence in clothing of this direction are only apparent. In fact, every detail must be carefully thought out.

To create a unique bright image, full representatives of the fair sex are recommended to combine dresses or maxi skirts with elongated knitted cardigans, complementing all this with a straw hat and a bag with ethnic motives.

In summer, for a walk, you can wear a flared skirt of the maximum length with a linen or cotton blouse decorated with lace, ruffles, ethnic ornaments or fringes. Knitted boleros and loose-fitting sundresses are perfectly combined.

At the same time, full ladies should avoid cropped jackets and vests, and older women should avoid acid colors in their clothes.

Shoes are selected depending on the weather conditions and the preferences of the fashionista, but the requirement is always taken into account - no heels - only a flat sole. It is possible to use wedge shoes.

You should not give up your favorite style even in the cold season. A bright winter look will help to create voluminous sweaters in combination with flared jeans, fur vests, coats or down jackets, complemented by bright accessories.

Also, stylists and designers advise to combine skinny jeans with a knitted sweatshirt or coarse knitted woolen sweater. For shoes, boots or boots are suitable.

When creating an image, you can use ready-made design solutions, or you can create something of your own unique. The latter is greatly facilitated by the fact that boho-style clothes can be easily sewn independently according to existing or own patterns.

Boho must-haves

To create your own unique boho look, you will need a lot of elements. The most basic ones are:

  • Dress made of linen fabric, A-shaped, straight or fitted cut (the waist may be slightly high).
  • Layered long silk or chiffon dress that can create a feeling of lightness.
  • Straight jeans or lightweight trousers.
  • The skirt is of medium or maximum length. The material of manufacture can be almost anything, depending on the season.
  • Tunic in fine cotton with ethnic motifs.

In the cold season, this fashionable trend is difficult to imagine without:

  • Straight cut sheepskin coats from Tuscany or Astragan with voluminous collars.
  • Leather or suede jacket in various shades of brown, beige or gray.
  • Knitted warm clothes (sweaters, sweaters, skirts).
  • Ponchos, cardigans, parkas.
  • Leather or fur vest.

This "backbone" can be supplemented, depending on the situation, preferences, capabilities and mood, with other items of clothing and all kinds of accessories.

In addition to basic fabrics (linen, cotton, silk), boho-style for women with curvaceous forms welcomes the use of flannel, velvet, wool, knitwear, denim.

From footwear to bohemian style, suede and leather pairs (no artificial materials!) In warm colors are suitable. These can be flat-soled boots or with very small heels with wide tops; various boots with or without lacing; sandals decorated with stones, coins or leather.

When forming an image, do not forget about such an important nuance as a hairstyle. It should be as simple and free as all the components. The best options are loose hair or a carelessly braided braid, decorated with a colorful ribbon or suede braid. Several strands released from the hairstyle will perfectly fit into the overall picture.

In my opinion, "boho" style clothes sometimes look awful and sometimes chic. We must not be mistaken so as not to "get stuck". The quest for novelty is human, and I applaud it. In the culinary field, it is molecular cuisine. In the field of painting - the transfer of painters to canvases. In the field of music - cacophony and other searches ... Go for it ...
