It is customary to give a gift to newlyweds for a wedding. There is a choice of what to present to the bride and groom, and most often it is money. With a large number of guests, the question arises where to put them. The optimal solution in this situation is a wedding box. And also this little thing will serve not only as the beginning of the family budget, but also reveal the creative streak of the giver.

Types and forms

Money chests can be made in the form of various geometric shapes: square, circle, oval. Can be made in the form of objects: a house, a chest, a suitcase, a heart. The gift is decorated in accordance with the theme of the wedding. A close friend of the bride or one of the relatives is responsible for preparing the creation and decoration of the box. A family piggy bank for collecting money will bring fun and convenience for guests and donors to the celebration. The wedding "treasury" can also be used as a box for keeping envelopes, postcards, jewelry and other small gifts.

Let's look at a few ideas.

  • Heart-shaped box. Such a box is made from gluing cardboard, whatman paper according to a ready-made template, or purchased ready-made in a packaging store. The slot for banknotes is located on the box lid or on the side. If you wish, you can decorate the box with beautiful material - lace, pieces of fabric, beads, artificial flowers, sequins, ribbons.
  • The treasury is like a casket. Candy and shoe boxes are used in the creation of the box. The size should take into account the number of guests, a small box will not be able to accommodate all the gifts. Most donate currency in handmade envelopes that are larger than a standard postcard. All big things shouldn't be hanging outside the box.To make the cut of the box look neat, it is decorated with ribbons or fabric, lace on both sides. If the box is small, but you really like it, then using thick cardboard, you can increase the height. A rectangle is made of cardboard and glued to the box from the missing side. It's like pulling a bag over a box. Various decorations will help to hide the gluing points.

If the desired box is large, then the shape can be easily reduced by cutting off the corners. Or use it as a template for cutting out parts for a new box.

  • Treasury under the house. Such a thematic design hints at the desired gift for the newlyweds, personifying the single life of a new family. The piggy bank is a model of the house and it turns out to be a completely original solution. In the future, it can be used to store toys.
  • The treasury is round. Round boxes can be used to create a real wedding cake. This option is made from several boxes of different diameters, which are placed on top of each other, imitating the appearance of a tiered pie. They are glued, then holes are cut out in the boxes on the bottom and on the lid, thereby forming one large box.
  • Looks interesting treasury made up of boxes of different shapes - tall round, small oval or square models. In the absence of suitable boxes, they are created independently from whatman paper. Parts are cut out according to the scheme and glued together. In the decor, the use of flowers and ribbons is appropriate, you can also imitate a real honeymoon cake.
  • Carved box. Making a wooden box at home is easy if you know how to handle wood. Such chests are roomy, reliable, durable in use. The box can imitate a national old chest, and decoupage will decorate the lid and sides. Another option is to make it look like a pirate treasure chest. Such a box is played up with game scenes for collecting money.

The main thing is that the box is assembled with high quality and does not crack at the wedding from the gifts of the guests. The treasury is an elegant attribute of any wedding.

  • Treasury in the form of a chest... The box can be made from Whatman paper and cardboard according to a ready-made template or from a tall box. If the box is based on, then with the help of a compass you need to round off the upper corners. So that the lid does not deform and close tightly, the cardboard should be slightly cut with a clerical knife and folded into the desired shape. For soft cardboard, a wooden stick and a ruler will be enough. Furrows should be equally spaced.

For the name box, a plate with the initials of the newlyweds or their photographs is attached. Another option is when guests write wishes for the couple on the box.
