Sneakers are a fairly young type of footwear, however, already densely settled in the environment of subcultures. They are especially popular with dancers and singers, because they are not only comfortable, but also add boldness to the image and are ideal for the stage. However, haute couture also fell in love with these sneakers, and therefore they can often be seen in the collections of the most famous design houses.

If sneakers are primarily shoes for sports and walking, then sneakers are ideal for creating many stylish looks.

Peculiarities

Sneakers are a hybrid version of a sports shoe that is equally close to both sneakers and sneakers, but has some distinctive features.

For example, the presence of a rubber sole, which makes movement silent, gave the name to this type of shoe from the English word to sneak. And although the sole of the sneakers is quite thick, it does not add weight. In addition, it is firmly attached to the ground.

In sneakers, the sole is most often ribbed and made according to the anatomical features of the foot to create more comfort for sports.

Sneakers also differ from sneakers in appearance, and they are related only by their belonging to sports style. Sneakers are more reminiscent of fashionable sneakers, but much more voluminous.

It is not uncommon for the upper part of these shoes to be stuffed with padding polyester, increasing the volume and warming. In addition, sneakers are taller than trainers or sneakers, reaching ankle length. The invariable part is Velcro and, less often, lacing or elastic.

Sneakers are considered to be demi-season or summer shoes, but among the sneakers there are many winter models. The presence of a platform, often hidden, will prevent your feet from getting wet.For the cold season, there are specially insulated models, some of which are completely furred.

Models

In general, sneakers can be divided into several categories: sports and casual.

Sports sneakers can have a slightly raised platform, and their design is not replete with all sorts of bells and whistles. They are convenient for fitness or jogging, as well as for simple long walks.

Casual sneakers are a part of modern streetwear and therefore have a lot more design variety. This concerns the soles in the first place, because there are sneakers on a platform, wedge heel, and some models do with heels. Stylish sneakers are more voluminous and massive, since they do not need to be as comfortable as possible, as in the case of playing sports. The design contains stripes, metal inserts, stones and rhinestones and other decorative elements.

Separately, it should be said about the seasonal models of sneakers. Winter shoes are insulated with padding polyester and fur, moisture-resistant materials, fasteners and soles are used. Summer sneakers, on the contrary, are as lightweight as possible, and on some products there are open heels.

For boys

Models of sneakers for boys are not much different from adult men. First of all, their lineup is limited to flat soles, rarely slightly high or wide, and lack of instep.

However, boyish sneakers can afford more childish, playful colors. Men's sneakers are often not rich in a variety of colors, but all kinds of prints, drawings of characters from cartoons and comics are often found on shoes for boys. There are models and more strict, business-like, looking like adults, so the only difference is the small size.

For girls

As in the case of shoes for boys, sneakers for girls use unusual children's prints with an abundance of flowers, hearts, fairies, as well as a lot of cute decorations, such as sequins, stripes, stones. There are models that completely coincide with adult women, as many women of fashion want to imitate mothers. You can easily find sneakers on a platform and a wedge, but since we are talking about a child's leg, the lift is made the least or it is completely absent.

Womens

The greatest variety is in women's models. To begin with, this is the usual "classic" - sneakers that are as close to sneakers as possible, and differ only in a thicker high sole and a height of the upper part.

One of the most common models is platform and wedge sneakers. In this case, the sole can be hidden, completely coinciding in texture and color with the main part of the shoe, or it can defiantly stand out in volume, shape, color. The sole, whatever it may be, can be of different heights and rises, so it is easy to find a product to your liking and, most importantly, the most comfortable one.

As for the upper part of the shoe, then there are several basic types. For starters, very similar to sneakers or sneakers, quite thin and neat. And there are, on the contrary, a voluminous top, and such shoes immediately become unsuitable for short girls. Massive products make the legs visually shorter.

Some brands experiment with familiar designs and produce far from the most standard models. For example, overpriced sneakers above the ankle or heel instead of the usual flat sole.

Dance

Since dancing classes involve a special load on the legs and the need to have a mobile foot, specialized sneakers for dancing have a special design. They look a little unusual due to the large split in the sole between the forefoot and heel. However, such a structure helps to quickly rebuild from one part of the leg to another, as well as perform all the necessary movements, jumps, rotations.

To avoid injury, the sole for dance sneakers is made of non-slip rubber. They are also called jazz sneakers.

Popular colors

Since sneakers are shoes that are used both for sports and for creating spectacular looks in a casual style, there are many colors.

Simple models are most often monochromatic with white or black soles. In this case, colors are used either dark and saturated, for example, green, blue, gray, and, of course, black, or vice versa light - white, beige, light pink.

Multi-colored sneakers are also not uncommon, and are combined with each other in both monochromatic and absolutely contrasting shades. It can be a combination of azure blue with deep blue or orange and purple. Sneakers are quite bold shoes, and therefore unusual and bold combinations are often used for them.

Among the trends of this year are two colors at once, one of which is presented on the sole, and the other on the upper part. Metallic shiny colors, emerald and bright red, taupe, brown, burgundy, lilac, blue, mustard are in fashion this year.

Materials (edit)

The upper part of the sneakers is made from a fairly large set of materials - velor, suede, fabric, but most often from leather and leatherette. When sewing one pair, a combination of several at once can be used.

Sintepon and fur are used as insulation, and rubber rubber is taken for the sole. Among the accessories there are Velcro, laces, less often zippers, all kinds of stripes, metal and decorative details.

Brands

Among the famous brands that periodically release sneakers in their collections are Saint Laurent, Sam Edelman Braxton, Kenzo, Gucci, Lacoste, Heidi Klum.

Many chain companies, especially those initially aimed at sporting goods, also often delight customers with new models. Among them are Converse, Nike, Adidas.

What to wear with?

Sneakers are often quite massive shoes, at least visually, so they will look most harmonious with tight-fitting pants and jeans. As for the style, sneakers can be easily combined with sports and casual clothing. First of all, we are talking about jeans, especially skinny, leggings, short shorts and capri pants, as well as short skirts.

Dresses are also suitable, and in some cases with a successful selection of colors and textures, even maxi lengths. Of course, in the case of long skirts and dresses, we are not talking about business strict products, only about informal ones.

Adhering to the same logic as with the bottom of the set, it is worth avoiding oversize products on top too. Best of all, if it is a suitable top, tunic or T-shirt, and on top you can always wear a shirt, windbreaker, jacket. However, casual shirts can be worn as an independent wardrobe item, like blouses.

If sneakers have an acceptable non-voluminous appearance, then the top can be more free, for example, from large shirts, sweatshirts, windbreakers, hoodies.

As for outerwear, depending on the model, leather jackets, parkas, down jackets, jackets may be suitable. But for elegant coats and fur coats, it is better to choose other shoes.

Regarding the general rules, it is worth noting that the brighter the sneakers, the more decorated they are, the more simple the other clothes should be, so as not to create an imbalance. The same applies to accessories, they should not conflict and try to interrupt all the attention from unusual sneakers to themselves. If the sneakers are of the usual design, then the combinations can be made from more extraordinary things.
