To obtain a matte surface, you can resort to several options. The preparatory stage for each of the options is the same. Before the procedure, you should keep your hands in warm soapy water to soften the skin. There should be no remnants of the previous coating on the nails, they must be removed with a cotton pad dipped in a solvent, but in no case should it be acetone, since it destroys the nails. There are special varnish solvents with vitamins and substances for strengthening nails. Then the nail file is given the desired shape, the cuticle is pushed back with an orange stick, after which you can proceed to the direct application of the manicure.

Now - about the methods themselves.

• Hot air. This method is possible with regular nail polish. After completing the procedure, the nails should be held for a few seconds over the steam, then the glossy layer will change to matte.

• Gel polish. In specialized stores, you can buy matte gel polish, whose feature is the absence of a glossy pigment, therefore, after application, it gives the desired result. Unfortunately, this type of coating has a limited range of color palette, so there will be little choice.As a rule, such varnishes are used to create a combined manicure, where a glossy shade plays the main role. The procedure for creating a matte finish is the same as for applying shellac. Already prepared nails are wiped with a degreaser, then the base, the desired color and top are applied. After each layer, the hand is placed in the lamp, where it dries up. If the desired color is missing, you can get out of the situation as follows: with the help of a buff, the finishing layer is cut off and the coating loses its shine.

• Matte top. The simplest method, both when applying regular varnish and gel, is to use a matte finish, after which the nails are dried in a lamp, and the sticky layer is erased with a degreaser.
