Black manicure no longer reads gloomy or "vampiric". Fashion trends dictate new textures and designs that make it contemporary and luxurious. The finishing coat can be matte, glossy, with the effect of velor and "broken glass". Patterns, decorative rhinestones and kamifubuki are abundantly used.

    The good thing about dark colors is that these shades are more resistant to wear than other colors; they manifest themselves differently at different lengths of nails. You can create an everyday calm manicure on short nails and solemnly bright on long ones.

    What are the forms of nails.

    • Square - classic short or medium length shape. It happens with sharp and soft corners. For a black manicure, it is better to choose a short length.
    • Oval - characterized by a soft rounding of the edges of the nail and medium length. Comfortable to wear.
    • Almond Is an elongated oval with softer outlines. Perfect for dark colored manicures.
    • Stylet - the longest nails and at the same time sharp. The length of the free edge is equal to the length of the nail plate.
    • Pica - is a pointed and thin stylet. The extension length can sometimes reach 7 cm or more, providing a large space for artistic painting.
    • Beveled - this form in everyday life causes inconvenience due to its non-standard appearance and sharp corners. Used in various nail art competitions.

      New styles of nail shapes:

      • bridget - is a stylet with a narrowed square;
      • pipe - rectangular shape of the nail with an almond-shaped tip;
      • edge - stiletto in the form of a narrowed square with one edge.

      Extended nails

      You can lengthen the nail plate by extension.This is done using acrylic or gel, on forms or tips. The procedure itself does not take very long and is simple in technique. Artificial nails are stronger than natural nails, and thanks to a special coating, the manicure is resistant and durable.

      The nail extension technique allows you to quickly create the desired length or repair a broken nail.

      Sharp nails have a number of disadvantages. Firstly, this shape is not suitable for every type of hand and shape of the nail bed. Secondly, pointed nails are easily susceptible to deformation during physical work. Third, you will have to give up everyday activities such as putting on tights, opening doors, typing on the keyboard, opening bottles and cans. This is due to the fact that the length and shape of the nails does not allow the hand to be fully used, and the nails themselves will constantly rest against any surfaces and will break if they are moved incorrectly.

      Extension features

      For the most part, sharp forms are fully extended nails on forms. Tips are not used due to the fact that the "stress" zone - the place where the tips are attached to a natural nail - is not able to withstand the load.

      With the help of gel or acrylic powder, the master lays out a layer on the mold, which becomes a new nail, immediately giving it length and silhouette. After polymerization in the lamp, the shape is clamped and an arch is created, which gives the nail its natural curve. Next, a sculpting gel is applied, which is responsible for the thickness and density of the artificial nail. After all these procedures, proceed to the desired design.

      Due to the intricacies of the procedure, it is not recommended to perform it at home, in the absence of the necessary experience and skills. Also, not all types of gel and acrylic allow you to tighten the shape.

      Design types

      • Manicure with red. Preferable to use on long nails or short ones with a soft square shape. An interesting idea is to paint the inside of the free edge of the nail red. A combination of matte dark and red glossy finishes goes well.
      • Option with white. Versatile manicure design, suitable for any style, including business. To dilute monochrome, sequins, rhinestones, decals, painting are used. Black and white stripes imitate the skin of a zebra or snow leopard. To complete geometric patterns, craftsmen use vertical and horizontal directions, circles. Such elements are created on several fingers, for example, index or ring fingers.
      • Pink design. This manicure originated in the emo subculture. Today, this color combination is considered spectacular and catchy. Pink varnish is used in all colors, from light pastel to rich fuchsia. French or moon manicures look extravagant with pink tips or lunula.
      • Black and gold version. A very festive and solemn type of manicure. It attracts attention, looks rich and aristocratic. The striking design uses a matte black finish and gold patterns or rhinestones, shiny stripes. You can decorate the "smile" of the nail with glitter or make a gold coating and black pattern. The combination of varnishes on all fingers, alternating one color with another, also looks unique.
      • Beige manicure. A calmer version. Despite the black varnish, this manicure turns out to be calm and feminine. The combination of various textures looks spectacular - sand and gloss, matte background and mirror drops. You can cover all your nails with beige varnish and add some black monograms.
      • Broken glass design. This manicure benefits from colored foil. It comes in various shades, as well as holographic. The manicure is festive and minimalistic. Looks good on any nail length and shape.
      • Ombre. Stretching of color can be created using black and colored varnishes, starting from the tip or vice versa. The ombre effect looks original when combining textures - from matte to gloss. It is better to grow the length of the nails for this technique.
      • Design with rhinestones. Such a manicure is most often French or lunar. The bed of the nail plate is decorated with rhinestones, the sides, or a "smile" is laid out. All fingers or just one nail are made with this design.
      • Manicure with kamifubuki. Shiny confetti or camouflage is a simple substitute for sequins and rhinestones, but no less beautiful. Any shade of glitter works well with a black base, but requires a glossy top.
      • Black version with rubbing. Rubbing is, in fact, microsparkles, they are applied to the sticky layer of gel or varnish using a soft sponge, creating a mirror effect. With the help of rubbing, various effects are created from ombre to holography.
      • Artistic painting. The simplest and most beautiful type of manicure that you can create at home. Colored varnish is applied to the nails with a thin synthetic brush. Also, ready-made translation drawings or stamping are used.

      Dark manicure will never leave the fans indifferent. Every year the palette of ideas expands and multiplies, helping to choose the right design for any occasion.
