Camouflage in French means "camouflage". Most often, people associate this concept with military camouflage tactics. But camouflage is also necessary for those who seek to make their manicure stylish and flawless.

Camouflage gel

This is a special tool for lengthening nails and hiding their possible imperfections. It is both a sculptural modeling material and has the properties of a regular colored varnish. The camouflage gel strengthens nails, masks all irregularities and roughness, makes the manicure perfectly smooth. When building up, it gives the surface of the nail plate the desired shape and volume.

What does it represent?

The camouflage gel is opaque, it has a different density and natural color. As a rule, these are pastel shades of pink, beige, peach, as well as ivory. This range makes any manicure very natural. In addition, the right color creates a smooth transition from the nail to the extended artificial edge. Acrylic powder can be injected into transparent light camouflage gels. It will add viscosity to it, and a matte finish to the coating.

pros

Application of this tool for nail extension has the following advantages:

  • nails treated with camouflage gel look natural, perfectly well-groomed and shiny even without applying varnish;
  • the manicure becomes more voluminous, cracks, irregularities and other defects are not visible on it;
  • this tool lengthens the nail plate with a short bed and makes the shape of such nails more perfect;
  • camouflage gel covers the edge and hides the growing areas;
  • it strengthens the structure of the nail plate;
  • such a coating protects nails from fungal diseases;
  • this tool allows air to pass through, so such a manicure can be used for a long time without harm to nails;
  • ideal for lovers of French manicure.

Minuses

But this method also has its drawbacks.

  • The camouflage gel may contain allergy-causing substances.
  • If the master is not qualified enough, then nail damage from the use of a UV lamp is possible. Removing the build-up layer is also fraught with injuries if the master is inexperienced.
  • Such a manicure requires a mandatory visit to the salon every three weeks for correction.
  • Extending nails with camouflage gel is quite expensive.

Varieties

  • Single phase system. It is the most popular and combines 3 layers: base, modeling and protective. The special gel for this procedure has a thick and dense consistency, it is difficult to apply. But it dries quickly and can be removed without problems. This gel lays down smoothly, without bubbles and perfectly holds the nail and coating together.
  • Two-phase system. With this build-up, a less dense camouflage gel is used, which is applied in several layers. The base coat holds the nail and coating together. A denser modeling layer creates shape. Finishing - aligns the nail plate.
  • Three-phase system. This gel is runny and requires more coats. Bubbles may form in the process. But this is the most persistent species. Nails with such a coating are very strong and resistant to various types of damage.

Build-up

Nail extension with camouflage gel consists of several stages.

  • Preparation of nails for modeling includes processing the cuticle with a soft frieze, degreasing and thoroughly cleaning the surface. Then a primer (special primer) is applied.
  • The artificial shape is separated from the adhesive base and aligned with the nail so that the centers coincide. Next, the master places a small drop of camouflage gel on the brush and applies it to the middle and on the edge, and then higher to the cuticle. Then the gel is dried under a UV lamp for about 2 minutes. Then the substrate is pressed close to the nail and held for several seconds to connect. Dry the nails for another two minutes.
  • The dispersion layer is removed, the shape of the edge is corrected with a nail file. The master thoroughly cleans and degreases the coating. Then a camouflage gel is applied with a brush in two layers, each layer is dried for 2 minutes under a lamp. Then the surface is covered with a finishing layer and dried again for 2 minutes. After a certain time, the form is removed and the build-up is completed.

Thanks to the use of camouflage gel, the artificial surface looks very aesthetically pleasing during regrowth. And the whole manicure looks natural and impressive. Perfectly manicured nails in delicate shades will make your look very romantic and feminine.
