Many people associate porcelain with wealth and prestige. Such cutlery is not only an excellent table decoration, but also a magnificent piece of furniture. A real pleasure is to taste dishes from such an inventory, and even with a long past. Kahla porcelain can evoke such positive emotions.

Briefly about history

The Thuringian porcelain factory Kahla is one of the most successful manufacturers of dining and tea sets. The company was founded 175 years ago in 1844 by Christian Eckard, and the first thing that she produced was cups, doll heads and pipes for smoking. In the mid-90s of the twentieth century, the largest reorganization of the company took place, which was able to save it from bankruptcy and brought it to a new level of production.

Today the brand is the owner of about 100 international awards in the field of artistic painting.

Peculiarities

A distinctive feature of Kahla table sets is not only in the original design, but also in the aesthetic component. They look quite exquisite, but at the same time they are very durable. This is achieved due to the high content of natural clay in the composition.

Product quality is achieved through regular testing of raw materials in the laboratory. Only kaolin clay from our own wells is used in the production. Finished products are thoroughly tested.

The appearance of kitchen utensils is not limited to elegance. Kahla designers and artists develop a variety of jewelry shapes that blend harmoniously with white and extraordinary patterns.

Despite the grace the manufacturer also took care of the heat resistance of the utensils that can withstand temperatures up to 300 degrees Celsius. Suitable for both oven and microwave cooking.

But despite the advantages, Kahla porcelain is not devoid of some disadvantages. Dishwasher-safe only for single-colored dishes. The manufacturer notes this feature in the instructions. In addition, the cost of brand products from Germany is quite high. Not everyone is able to afford it.

However, high quality porcelain with a history is well worth it.

Varieties

The German brand not only maintains the high quality of its products. Any series is equipped with the basic items necessary for table setting and tea drinking. The key word is diversity that characterizes the various porcelain collections. In particular, any service includes:

How to choose?

Having decided to decorate the living room or kitchen with an unusual decor element, you have a question, what to look for first of all in order to be satisfied with your choice and use it with pleasure. When choosing a service, take into account the style of the room. The dishes should not be conspicuous, but harmoniously complement it.

Consider what to consider when purchasing porcelain.

  • Buy only from branded stores.
  • The main attribute of porcelain is its delicate translucency. If you look at the light, you can see the brand of the factory in the form of a crown with the name on the opposite side.
  • Another individual property is a light melodic sound emitted when tapping with a wooden stick.
  • The coated glaze must be smooth and free from defects.
  • The rim of the bottom eliminates glaze. Porcelain is subjected to double firing at a temperature of 1350-1410 degrees. Final - occurs with enamel. If the bottom is covered, it will stick, making it difficult to work with kitchen items further.
  • Check stability. Not a single production excludes marriage, even the most high-tech. The dishes must stand upright, not dangle, and the items of the service should fit snugly.

How to care?

In order for charming porcelain to retain its original image, proper care is needed. Despite the fragility of things, it is simple and uncomplicated. The main thing is a respectful attitude.

    • Wash by hand, especially for utensils decorated with paintings and gold. This will keep the surface intact.
    • Avoid detergents, especially those with abrasive particles. Porcelain, even the highest quality, is afraid of household chemicals. It will damage the drawing.
    • Use a soft sponge, no metal brushes.
    • Do not soak the porcelain in water for a long time, this may crack the enamel. It is enough to rinse and wipe with a damp cloth.
    • Wipe dry to avoid streaking.
    • Do not stack dishes on top of each other. Fragile parts of the service can be damaged.
