It is difficult to immediately answer what is the business card of the house. But only logically, this zone will be the hallway - something that is immediately visible and that sets the mood for the whole room. And more specifically, the front door. It can be standard, impersonal, original, or it can delight the hosts and their guests with the decor. Festive and seasonal. In this regard, the theme of autumn wreaths on the door becomes relevant.

What might you need?

Making a wreath with your own hands is not a problem if there is a mood, a couple of inspiring examples in front of your eyes and materials. Everything that can be associated with autumn will be used. If you want to make a completely natural wreath using only natural materials, it is preferable to take dried flowers, as well as cones, acorns, twigs and twigs.

Physalis, small pumpkins and sunflower heads will do.

It is more difficult with leaves: they, of course, are the most direct association with the autumn season, but still they are short-lived. Such a wreath is unlikely to survive even one day. But there are secrets of technology - wax and glycerin, which will help the leaves to calmly serve the whole season as the main decoration of the wreath. In glycerin, the leaves must be boiled, and the wax, if used, must be melted and each leaf must be dipped there.

But it is not necessary to use only natural materials: a high-quality imitation can also cope with the main task of a wreath - to please the eye and be an ode to a wonderful time. Here, the choice of materials is already great and will satisfy even the most demanding craftsman.

Wreaths are made from a wide variety of ingredients.

  • Paper... It can be watercolor paper, colored in various ways using different tools, textured (velvet, embossed, corrugated, etc.). There are so many options that it is difficult to decide on the most effective one.
  • Foamiran... Excellent material that lends itself to heat treatment. And it is also inexpensive. Available in different colors, with or without glitter.
  • Plasticine... Plasticine paintings have become very popular in recent years. So why not use the newly mastered material to create the elements of the autumn wreath - the work is painstaking, but very elegant.
  • Felt... Wonderful fabric, very obedient, tactile and visually pleasing. It is also produced in different variations in fabric thickness, quality, color, strength. I really want to touch and stroke such a wreath.
  • Textile... But there are craftswomen who are ready to sew acorns, leaves, and even berries by hand from cotton fabric. And then connect it all on the basis. Of course, such a wreath can be used for many years in a row, it will become a family heirloom.

And this is just the top of the list, which can be supplemented with artificial fruits and vegetables, berries and twigs, or, for example, natural leaves filled with epoxy resin.

Master classes for making wreaths

Well, to make things go faster, for a start there are 3 master classes that literally everyone can repeat. Because it is simple, accessible, interesting, and the result will definitely please.

It is worth trying to make a wreath with hydrangea and physalis.

What you need: Physalis flowers (the brighter the better), dry sprigs of hydrangea, a small piece of cloth, satin bow, newspapers, thin wire, threads, hot melt glue.

The work plan will help you do everything right.

  1. Old newspapers will form the basis of the wreath... They are twisted into a bundle, and the attachment points are fixed with a thin wire. The volume is arbitrary, but it is better to be guided by the photo.
  2. Physalis flowers are glued in groups on the outside of the formed newspaper ring... The composition is appropriate, without excess, complemented by hydrangea flowers.
  3. The place where the bow will be located must be wrapped with a cloth. The fabric is fixed with hot melt glue. This is necessary, otherwise the newspaper will be visible from under the bow, which violates the aesthetics of the craft.
  4. Finally, a bow is attached in the center.... In this case, it is orange, you can make it greenish, to match the color of a hydrangea.

The wreath is ready, you can hang it!

The next craft is an autumn wreath of newspapers. This is another way to use paper creatively and get almost stunning results.

What to prepare: a circle-base, a newspaper (you can replace it with book pages), colored paper (you can design), a glue gun and a pencil.

The manufacturing process is simple.

  1. Many identical blanks should be cut from newspapers or thick book pages. They should be round with carved edges. Something like a flower. Samples are also made from colored paper, you need to use paper of yellow and orange colors.
  2. Pencil is needed in order to "wind" samples with it, giving them volume.
  3. Glue gun the workpieces are fixed on the base wheel. They can be pressed down with the back tip of the pencil to ensure they adhere accurately.
  4. Then the base is pasted over with rows of newspaper / book flowers - you get a cool decor with a clear autumn mood. And so romantic too. By the way, it can be a book with poems or quotes about love.
  5. The finished wreath deserves a themed banner. It is better to do it on thick paper with an autumn print. To make the inscription appear on the banner, you can cut out velvet / oilcloth / metallized letters and glue

The third MK is dedicated to a felt wreath. This will be the most delicate craft, which it is impossible to pass by without emotion.

What you need: pieces of felt of different colors (autumn colors are preferable, but this is not a strict requirement), a wreath twisted from twigs, hot glue and scissors.

Let's see how to do it.

  1. Leaf-shaped cardboard blank - this is a template according to which you need to cut many small felt leaves of different colors.
  2. Hot glue will help give the leaves volume: just drop a drop of glue onto the base and pinch this place with your finger, a fold will form. The sheet is no longer flat. And so - to do with everyone.
  3. The base is a wreath of twigs. They need to be intertwined in any convenient way, the rods must be fixed so that the wreath keeps its shape, preferably with wire. Threads are also possible, but stronger.
  4. It remains to fix the leaves from the wind on the base... And here the artistic taste, observation, the ability to repeat a photo example are important. In the layout of the leaves, some kind of regularity is needed, in step and color, in density.

The wreath is ready to decorate the door!

All these MKs do not require art education, large expenditures and time resources. And, having already mastered these algorithms, you can swing at more complex floristic designs.

Beautiful examples of crafts

Such wreaths remind that the decor in the house is its soul, its content and the desire of the owners to make life a little more beautiful and brighter.

This is worth repeating.

  • Lovely corn cobs, adorable pumpkins, berries, sorrel, greens - not quite the usual wreath, but so cute. He seems to say thank you to autumn for her fruitful mood.
  • On the one hand, minimalistic, just twigs... But on the other hand, it is an exhaustive decorative answer, whose simplicity is perfect.
  • And here is a lot of everything, and twigs, and dried flowers, and berries... And predictably, you will want to consider each fragment of such a wreath.
  • Here are collected artificial materials that imitate the natural wealth of autumn... Any solid base and a glue gun - and now a handful of plastic or any other leaves, pumpkins, berries turn into a rich wreath.
  • Felt, paper, foamiran, fabric - from which only leaves are not made, which seem to fold themselves into a harmonious multicolored circle.
  • Nuts, acorns, citrus mugs - after one glance at such a wreath, you will want to proceed to the kitchen, it’s very appetizing.
  • Ears with berries make up an unusually expressive pattern, very rich in color and volume of the wreath.
  • The leaves can be preserved in glycerin or cut from fabric. The rods can be picked up even on the ground in any park. Needles, berries and other natural elements will go into your hands during a regular walk through the autumn forest, garden and park.

Nice, inexpensive and so elegant - go for it!
