He must be able to work on a computer in various programs, contact people, have a competent speech, be friendly, stress-resistant.

  • Restaurateur. As a rule, every hotel and hotel has a restaurant or cafe. This employee is responsible for the entire process of organizing meals for guests. Keeps order in the hall and in the kitchen, takes part in the development of the menu, the purchase of products, makes decisions on changing the interior and decorating the premises.

  • Hotel service manager. His duties are similar to those of an administrator. But there are many such specialists in large hotels. They promptly resolve accommodation issues, as well as fulfill various requests and wishes of customers. Hospitality managers can, for example, resolve issues of delivering lunches and breakfasts to the room, organizing additional services, such as excursions.

In addition, there are a number of professions that are also in demand in hotels and are directly related to hotel service.These can be waiters, cooks, since in every even the smallest hotel there are usually cafes or restaurants.

There is also an option to open your own business, control the entire process, partially do the work yourself, partially hire workers. But this requires a business plan with all the calculations and, of course, higher education.

Education

To study hotel business, you can go to college or technical school after the 9th grade, choosing those institutions that teach these disciplines. You will have to take Russian and mathematics, plus some other additional subjects. All this needs to be clarified upon admission. The training will be 4 years.

After the 11th grade, you can enter a university by choosing the tourism field. For admission, knowledge of mathematics, Russian language, social studies, history is most often required.

You can study both internally and in absentia. There are such faculties in many universities in Russia. Therefore, it is most often possible to get such an education without even leaving your city. This may be, for example, the Russian Information and Technology Academy or the Saratov State Academy of Physical Culture, Sports, Youth and Tourism, the Moscow State University of the Tourism Industry.
