There is also a drawback, although one, but rather significant: next to such curtains, you cannot place tall furniture, for example, cabinets, otherwise the whole charm of the idea will be hidden.

Double curtain models can have a different look, each of which is appropriate in a particular style. In modern interiors, several varieties are most often found.

• Classic. This option is considered traditional, it combines two fabric canvases of different density. The middle is made of transparent materials that transmit light, and the sides are made of dense curtain fabric. They are able to darken the living room, hide it from direct sunlight. In modern design, combinations of materials of different densities in any order are allowed. Combinations of only transparent fabrics are possible, or their alternation in a different, non-canonical order with dense ones.
• Roll... Here the canvas is layered on roller blinds, which can be mechanically controlled using a chain and a handle and from a remote control, automatically. Raising and lowering one or both canvases, you can adjust the degree of light penetration.
• Roman... Here, in the form of the upper material, a dense fabric is usually used, under the bottom there is a light and transparent. This look is appropriate in different styles.

• Alternate fastening... Here, one guide is also used, but the left and right canvases are suspended on hinges in turn. First the top, then the bottom, then the top and again the bottom. This method also limits the ability to adjust the curtains.

The biggest advantage of this curtain model is the huge number of combination options. It is possible to combine a variety of textures, patterns, colors. There are several combinations among the trends of recent years.

• Opaque fabrics... It is the ideal solution for very bright large living rooms with windows facing south or east. A dense canvas will perfectly protect the room from the hot sun in summer weather.It is necessary to take into account the weight of dense curtains, since they are quite heavy and require reliable fastening and high-quality cornice.
• Transparent and opaque combinations. If you swap the bottom and make it from a dense canvas, and choose a light one at the top, this will be a very original solution. Such a model will fit into a romantic interior and make the opening less massive.
• Transparent fabrics. This is a very relevant model for dark, small rooms. They reflect light well and bring airiness and lightness into the living room.
• Curtains... This is a combination where the muslin row acts as the top layer, decorating the lower canvas. A very effective solution.

In order for the overall interior composition to look harmonious and stylish, it is necessary to correctly select colors and prints in window textiles.
