But before purchasing this or that fabric, you need to know all its advantages and disadvantages, a description of what it is and where it is best used. What is a cooler, what are its pros, cons and varieties - read in our article.

What it is?

Kulirny smooth surface - the name speaks for itself. This knitted fabric is soft and pleasant to the touch. And if you look closely at the canvas up close, you can see the interweaving of threads. It is also one of the finest fabrics. It is one of the types that many people come across almost every day, sometimes without knowing its exact name.

Most often, it is familiar to mothers, since it is widely used in the production of children's clothing and underwear.

Properties

Here are the main properties of the cooler.

  • This fabric is distinguished by the fact that it has a very pleasant, smooth and soft surface.
  • Its density is low, it does not exceed 140 g.
  • A distinctive feature is that this canvas belongs to environmentally friendly materials, which means that it does not cause allergic reactions, which is especially valuable for children's clothing and bed linen.
  • The fabric stretches, but only slightly, and if the product is pulled in width, then it stretches, but the same effect is not observed in length.
  • Many consumers are concerned about the question - whether the fabric shrinks or does not, and this applies to any material. As for the cooler, here the reviews differ from one another. Some believe that the thing after washing remains in its original form, others that it shrinks. Apparently, the quality of the acquired tissue plays a role.
  • One of the cooler's advantages is that it does not wrinkle, which is very convenient and for many is a decisive factor when choosing a fabric.

In their reviews, the majority in Russia notes the advantages of fabric, and they are that things are pleasant to wear, easy to clean, do not cause allergies, and can last a long time. The disadvantages include the fact that the fabric is prone to damage. If it is unsuccessfully hooked, an arrow may go.

In addition, there is one more nuance that some of the consumers will attribute to disadvantages. The cooler requires special care. And these recommendations must be followed in order for the thing to last longer.

Composition

In the composition of the kulirka 100% cotton. That is why it has high qualities and is appreciated by many consumers. There are varieties of this fabric where elastane and lycra are added to the cotton fiber. This is done in order to expand the operational parameters of the product, since in these cases the fabric acquires new properties. It becomes more elastic, this allows you to expand the range of products for which it is applicable. In this case, the quality of the fabric does not deteriorate, provided that the composition of other fibers does not exceed 10%.

Subtleties of production

The fabric of this type is the thinnest knitwear, which is made from high-quality cotton threads on a specially knitting machine. Kulirka is created in such a way that a row of loops is obtained by knitting one thread. It has a small thickness. This is why the material is so thin. The knitwear is produced by the so-called cross knitting. Manufacturers make knitwear - single and double, which is used for sewing various things. Single-needle machines are used for single jersey, and double-needle machines for double jersey.

Views

The material is painted by different methods, based on this, it is divided into types.

  • Melange smooth surface is obtained by connecting threads that have the same color, but different tones.
  • Plain dyed fabric made from monochrome and monochromatic yarns.
  • The padded wafer has a pattern. It can be framed in various ways. It can be embroidered with threads, beads, or photo printing.
  • The kulirka is made with both lycra and velor effect. It all depends on what yarns are added to the addition of cotton.

The cooker is made from three types of yarn. Singing is characterized by the presence of 80 mm fibers. This yarn is of the highest quality, therefore, things made from it are more expensive. Due to the length of the fibers, the material holds its shape perfectly. This fabric is good to wear and lasts a long time.

Carde is distinguished by yarns that are more than 2 times shorter. It does not have such a high elasticity, its service life is reduced. Open end is the type where the yarn does not exceed 30 millimeters in length, it is used to make those things that do not require maintaining such an ideal shape.

Comparison with other materials

Many are trying to figure out the intricacies of materials such as a strut, ribana, interlock and footer, understanding which one is better. All these types of fabrics are made from cotton fiber with the addition of other threads. But the kulirka differs from them in that it is very light and thin knitwear, and the other 3 types are much denser, respectively, warmer, due to denser weaving. Warm clothes are made from them.

Kulirka is more suitable for underwear, children's and home clothes, summer products. And the footer, interlock and ribana are autumn and winter options. Their difference from thinner knitwear is that they are much more resistant to puffs, and arrows do not appear on them at all. But on the other hand, shrinkage is more characteristic of them, especially if the correct washing regime is not followed.

What do they sew from the cooler?

Kulirka is the fabric that everyone encounters in everyday life, since almost everyone has things made from it. Based on its characteristics, many choose the fabric, preferring to wear underwear, indoor clothes and summer dresses. Mothers are happy to purchase children's things made from the cooler's surface. For newborns, this is the best option. Delicate, thin, eco-friendly fabric does not cause irritation, it is very soft, smooth and pleasant. Therefore, all kinds of undershirts, sliders, suits for newborns, panties and T-shirts for babies are sewn from it.

You can sew things from the cooler yourself or purchase them in specialized stores. This can be underwear, pajamas, dressing gowns, home suits. All these things will be convenient and comfortable. While the fabric adheres perfectly to the body, it allows the skin to breathe. It is difficult to imagine a more comfortable environment.

Such clothes are pleasant and comfortable not only in the bedroom and in the kitchen, there are suitable options for summer walks. The kulirka is widely used for sewing summer tops, T-shirts, shorts and dresses. In these things it is not hot at all and very comfortable in the summer. Such things, allowing air to pass through, do not interfere with movement and are simply indispensable on sweltering hot days. Leggings, tunics, trousers, as well as light tracksuits are sewn from the waistcoat. They are very well suited for intense workouts, as they are lightweight and comfortable. Nothing hinders movement, and the skin breathes.

This type of knitwear is used not only for sewing various clothes for children and adults, but also for making soft toys. Factory-made soft toys made of this material are pleasant to the touch and have an attractive appearance. Crafts using knitwear can be made at home, involving children or the whole family in this exciting activity. Kulirka lends itself well to coloring, applying various patterns in different ways, printing is often used. Therefore, you can often find bright clothes made of this fabric with a variety of patterns, especially for children's clothing.

Care

Things from the cool surface have a lot of advantages, and disadvantages may not appear if you know about the rules for caring for things and adhere to them constantly. With proper care, products can last a very long time and not lose their original appearance. Many people are concerned about the issue of fabric shrinkage. But it all depends on which care methods you use. For baby clothes, and even more so for newborns, the initial wash is recommended. Before the child puts on the sliders or undershirt, be sure to wash the product by hand in warm water with baby soap.

Adult knitwear can be powder washed, delicate machine wash is acceptable. It is advisable to use a delicate powder or special gel, and wash in cool water. In any case, the temperature should not exceed 40 degrees Celsius. As for the subsequent washings, the rules are exactly the same. If the item is heavily soiled, you can first soak it in water with powder for a couple of hours, then rub it well with your hands and send it to the machine for a delicate wash.

If your dress or T-shirt has stains, you can try removing them with a stain remover for delicate fabrics. Be sure to look carefully at the components contained. The stain remover must be free of chlorine. The same goes for powder. In no case should you use one that is intended for whitening.

Always remember that bleach can damage the material, as can a stain remover that contains chlorine. So, you need to be careful with things from the cooler and try not to stain them so that later it would be impossible to wash them off using conventional methods. If these things are intended for children, then in this case you simply cannot get away from all kinds of pollution. And if the stain cannot be removed, you can correct the position with some original applique or embroidery. Do not squeeze things out too vigorously. If with your hands, then only slightly, select the minimum speed in the machine for spinning. If wringing is done by hand, then a clean white terry towel can be used for this purpose. You need to place a thing on it, and then twist and squeeze slightly. This will absorb excess moisture into the towel.

Drying on a hanger or simply in an upright position on a dryer is not recommended. Better to spread a clean terry towel or white sheet on the table and dry like this. After a while, the fabric must be replaced with a dry one, and so on until the clothes are completely dry. It is not worth leaving a dress or jacket on a damp towel for a long time, otherwise the thing may acquire an unpleasant smell of dampness, which cannot be eliminated in any way, and you will have to rinse the product again and then dry it. Drying vertically may cause the dress or blouse to stretch out and leave marks on the clothespins. Linen and household items can also be dried in the usual way.

You need to iron things with care, using the minimum or medium temperature regime, preferably without changing them. And check first on an inconspicuous area of the product. Ironing temperature should not exceed 110 degrees, ironing should be done only from the wrong side. You need to store things in a closet on hangers or neatly folded on shelves. The advantage of many knitted items is that they practically do not wrinkle or are resistant to this type of impact. Therefore, sometimes they do not need to be ironed at all, but just put them on the shelf. The ironed dress can be hung on a hanger. After wearing, place them on the hanger again.

It is necessary to take into account the factor that the cooler is susceptible to puffs and arrows, so you need to be careful with sharp objects, the edges of furniture. If you follow all the simple rules, you can save the thing for a long time. Such fabric remains relevant for many years and will always be in high demand due to its good qualities and durability.
