Carrot oil is widely used in cosmetology and as an ingredient in folk remedies. It is obtained both industrially, and you can cook it yourself at home using the most common tools that are always in the kitchen.

Properties

Carrot seed oil can be distilled or cold pressed. It is very different from the essential one, which is widely used in aromatherapy.

The essential oil can be extracted from wild and garden carrots using steam distillation or chemical solvents. Solvent extractable product is not organic and may have adverse effects on human health. Carrot oil at home is obtained from the pulp of grated fruit, the ingredient is used in folk remedies.

The product has a number of positive properties:

Carrot oil has a unique yellow color with brown notes. The color may be slightly orange if it contains more carotenoids. It retains a wonderful aroma with woody notes.The product is combined with grape seed, olive and coconut oils. It mixes well with lemon oil and other citrus fruits, lavender, ideally combines with juniper.

Benefit and harm

To make from the fruit you will need:

After the mixture has cooled, strain it through a sieve, pour it into a glass jar and put it in the refrigerator for storage. The shelf life is no more than six months.

    You can also make a quality product from seeds. They must be finely crushed, put in a container with another oil and boiled over low heat for 72 hours.

    Application

    Carrot oil is used in cosmetics to stimulate hair growth. It can be used at home as a light serum that activates roots and bulbs. You will need to take about 10 ml of water, add 10 ml of glycerin, 1 tablespoon of organic castor oil, a tablespoon of hemp oil and about 8-10 drops of carrot essential oil.

    Glycerin can only be replaced with coconut oil as it penetrates the hair shafts. The mask stays on the hair for 15 minutes, then rinses off with water.

    Carrot seed oil is used as a massage agent. Five drops are poured into a base, such as olive or argan. Get a soothing massage.This mixture promotes hair growth.

    • 3 drops of geranium ether;
    • 1 tsp glycerin.

    Stir everything well and apply to the face, which should first be washed.

    You can use a different recipe. To prepare it, you will need two tablespoons of carrot oil, the same amount of almond ether, ten drops of lavender extract and five geraniums. The composition is mixed, shaken well in a container. Such a product, applied to a cotton swab, perfectly removes makeup, deeply cleans the skin and simultaneously moisturizes it.

    There are girls who are very complex about the scar, but with the help of carrot oil, you can remove or reduce it. You will need to find a hazelnut extract, pour it in the amount of two tablespoons into a container, put the same amount of rosehip oil, drip 5 drops of carrot ether, the same amount of calendula, lavender and rosemary.

    If there is vitamin E in liquid form, then you should put it in too. The resulting mixture is applied to the skin with gentle massage movements.

    Dry itching, dandruff, and the scalp in general can help treat:

    • 1 tbsp. l. jojoba oils;
    • 1 tbsp. l. tincture of calendula;
    • two drops of carrot extract;
    • 10 drops of lavender ether;
    • 6 drops of sage extract;
    • 4 drops of cedarwood ether;
    • 4 drops of rosemary oil.

    Shake the mixture well before each use. Rubbed into the scalp, helps with hair loss. Store the composition in a cool, dark place for a year. Can be used for both internal and external use such as tanning.
