A primary school teacher can work in a school, public and private, or can demonstrate his professionalism in a tutoring center. And everywhere, when applying for a job, he will need a resume.

Fundamental rules

The resume of a primary school teacher should be compiled meaningfully, succinctly and competently. It is logical that if there are errors in such a document, it will discredit the specialist.

It is worth paying attention to several rules for drawing up a competent teacher's resume.

  • Write only the truth, but do not mark negative points. Of course, if you were fired under the article or in the past you had some sad experience that became known to the general public, you cannot hide it. But you do not need to point out those negative moments that have remained in the past and do not affect your current pedagogical image. At the same time, it is not worth embellishing your appearance for the device to school, keep balance.
  • Stick to structure. The summary should contain points, and in them - logic and harmony. Try to keep your resume on one side of the sheet: work with the font, its size, and lists.
  • Maintain a friendly tone. Excessive rigor and protocol is not needed in such a document. You can write about yourself competently, in a business style, but without bureaucracy.
  • Don't try to create a standardized resume: in this case, it will not differ from the resume of competitors. This is especially true for items about personal and professional qualities.
  • Do not write bad reviews about your previous place of work, about your former boss. This speaks of you as a person who takes dirty linen out of public and will definitely do the same with a new place of work.
  • Don't write in long sentences - they are poorly perceived by the reader, especially if it is an employer who wants to immediately see the essence in the document.
  • Support your resume with a photograph. This will show that you have nothing to hide, which can cause the first intuitive sympathy for the employer. Choose a photo where you are friendly. This could be a photograph in the workplace.
  • Format your resume before submitting: select the item names in bold. Create a visually pleasing structure for your document.
  • A resume like this allows for a little professional liberties. For example, you can mark your pedagogical credo there.
  • Make sure all parts of the resume are proportionate... If the list of achievements takes up more than half of the total volume, it may look immodest.

Transmittal letter

Such a letter is an optional attachment to the resume, but it is desirable. It is small and consists of several sentences. The cover letter includes the following points:

  • greeting (just do not write “Good day!”, just write “Hello”);
  • FULL NAME;
  • the position for which you are applying; very briefly, but succinctly list the strengths, skills that are important precisely for the position that you intend to take;
  • motivation;
  • parting.

Write so that the reader can spend no more than 15 seconds reading the cover letter. But keep in mind that it can be decisive: its task is to induce the employer to carefully read your resume, to interest.

How to write correctly?

There are points in the resume that can be difficult to write. Some of the proposed formulations may not seem entirely convenient and accurate. The following guidelines will help you avoid hurtful mistakes.

Personal qualities

You only need to write about what may affect the professional sphere. For example, you are a generous person, but this does not directly apply to the profession of an elementary school teacher. But the fact that you are prone to empathy, try to help people, are responsive, can be important for an employer.

Do not pay much attention to this point, 5-6 qualities are enough that will tell about you: benevolence, sociability, activity, perseverance and attentiveness.

Job responsibilities

Here you indicate your functions: exactly what you did at the previous place of work. There is no need to add what you could still be doing. Write about actual responsibilities, about real experience for you. Job responsibilities can be described as follows:

  • drawing up and conducting lessons;
  • preparation and organization of classroom activities;
  • organization of students' leisure;
  • conducting hobby groups and associations;
  • work with parents.

Perhaps, in your previous place of work, you did something additional, in addition to the rate of a primary school teacher. Write about this in the "Additional" paragraph, since this does not directly apply to the vacancy for which you are applying.

Professional skills and achievements

This is where the key skills that you can really add to your asset should be noted. The described professional skills may be as follows:

  • the ability to interest children, to captivate educational activities, including children's research work;
  • the ability to organize discipline in the classroom;
  • the ability to organize an individual approach to students with different intellectual abilities.

Find 3 points that characterize you brighter. Some have tough discipline, some have bright lessons that allow them to do a lot of work. Someone's strong point is well-organized work with parents. Achievements are your awards, commendations and, of course, the qualifications awarded. Indicate not all (there may be several dozen letters), but only the main, key achievements.

If there are more than 5 of them in the resume, it will tire the reader.

What to write without work experience?

It may also be that the place where you intend to get a job will be the first for you. Or, for example, having a specialized education, you have not yet been able to work on it. This does not mean that your resume should be as short as possible. A young specialist can celebrate the achievements that he brought into his asset during his studies at the university.

It makes sense to put special emphasis on practice: where did you go through it, what tasks did you perform, what grade your manager gave you, and so on. How you have proven yourself during this practice will be your main characteristic. In the resume of a young specialist, the motivational aspect is of great importance. Write in a little more detail what goals you are pursuing, what tasks you are ready for, what you want to achieve in your new position. Write how you see yourself as a teacher, how you intend to go towards your goal.

Let's consider examples of such a motivational aspect.

  • «I will try to gain a foothold in the new workplace, establish good business relationships with colleagues. She intends to follow the path of professional growth and development, engage in self-education, learn from the experience of senior colleagues. In my work I am guided by the synthesis of the best achievements of the Soviet school and the findings of Western education, which it makes sense to bring to the Russian school. "
  • «At my first job, I want to establish myself as a creative, active, purposeful teacher. She is tuned in to professional reflection, introspection, and the search for her own pedagogical style. I look forward to the beginning of my work activity, I strive to approach my professional mission with dignity, creativity and responsibility ”.

Additional information about yourself
