Due to the abundance of traditions of different peoples, the Asian style does not have a single definition, however, oriental motifs have firmly become fashionable and are successfully used by designers. Exciting Asia arouses the interest of fashionistas and fashionistas. Most modern people have in their wardrobe at least one suit or dress created in the oriental manner.

The Asian style is characterized by the use of silk and velvet fabrics, brocade, chiffon, satin. To create clothes, bright and cheerful colors are selected: red and black, white and blue, turquoise, yellow, green. Such a palette attracts attention, while the clothes look festive, catchy, and spectacular.

Fabric dyes can be monochrome or combined in a variegated cocktail. The accents in clothes, especially tailored for women, are made on the exclusivity of the cut, as well as the combination of shades and textures.

The following patterns look especially unusual on fabrics: fantasy flowers, the moon and stars, birds, butterflies, lions and dragons, intricate ornaments, pine branches, hieroglyphs, in addition to them there are often fringes and brushes. Clothes made in oriental traditions are most suitable for girls, it emphasizes their fragility and grace with the help of a riot of colors and a variety of original finishes. The dresses mainly have flowing and soft silhouettes that surprise with their simplicity of cut.

For the Asian style of clothing, the following features are characteristic:

  • laconic cut forms and carefully thought out proportions;
  • excess drapery and layering: the fabric generously envelops the figure, creating an object of art out of it;
  • the silhouette tends to expand in the lower part, the clothes can be loose or fit the figure by 2/3;
  • the neckline can be asymmetrical, but always chaste, a stand-up collar is often used;
  • the sleeve can be short or one-piece and long; models often use a raglan sleeve;
  • clothes are fastened with large buttons with air loops or the clothes are simply wrapped around like a robe and tied with a belt.

Asian women's clothing lacks Western sexual connotations. Oriental outfits attract attention with their femininity and sophistication.

Functionality and comfort are inherent in the men's suit. Clothing for men is divided into business and sportswear. Everyone knows Asian kimonos, which are used as garments for practicing martial arts.

In the Western environment, women are the main adherents of the Asian style of clothing. For this direction, the following things are characteristic, which are basic when drawing up a wardrobe with notes of Asia.

  • Wide or narrow-cut trousers and a blouse with a stand-up collar or fastener with air loops. Trousers are sewn from light flowing fabrics, and a blouse can be sewn from chiffon, satin or brocade. If desired, the trousers can be replaced with a classic maxi skirt.
  • Semi-fitted dress with asymmetric fastening, called qipao. It is carried out in a minimalist style or decorated with rich embroidery and complemented by a wide belt in contrasting fabric. The sleeves of the dress are short or long, wide. The length of the dress can be knee-length or floor-length.
  • National dress called kimono and has no clasp. It is wrapped and then tied with a belt. In Western culture, this garment is considered a home dress, while in Eastern countries this garment can be used as a casual or fancy dress. Kimono can be combined with narrow-cut trousers.
  • Jacket of a straight silhouette, shortened and called a mandarin. Traditionally, it is sewn from satin, silk or brocade. The sleeve can be straight and long, widened or ¾ of the length. A mandarin jacket is worn over a tight-fitting dress or combined with trousers.

Oriental decorative elements will add brightness and mystery to even the most modest set of clothes.

To create an Asian style image, you do not need to completely borrow all the elements of oriental clothing. All you need to do is set the accents with the right accessories. As such decorative additions to the main outfit, belts with oriental embroidery, a pearl necklace or monisto, an openwork umbrella in the Chinese style, a voluminous hairpin with a corresponding design, tassel earrings, a fan with hieroglyphs, and so on can be used.
