To date, synthetic materials are the most affordable for creating clothing. True, some people prefer to replace them with natural ones. In fact, today's synthetics are of high quality - all this is due to the use of the latest technologies for its production. So, for sewing streetwear, craftsmen often resort to duspo fabrics - high-quality, durable, reliable.

Description

Dewspo ("Duspo") - comes from the English words "dew" and "polymer", in addition, this fabric has a second name, which must be remembered so as not to get confused in the subsequent choice - "poly ponge".

The material is also called jacket - this feature allows you to immediately understand the true purpose. For its production, a special method of plain weaving of polyamide threads is used. The finished product has a high density, in addition, it does not undergo rapid wear, and is resistant to various damages. Most importantly, the duspo is very pleasant to the touch.

The density of the fabric is determined by the following signs - 240 t (tex) - this is the highest indicator, which makes it possible to call duspo one of the densest materials for sewing outerwear.

By the way, you should know that tex is the number of threads in 1 square inch of the surface.

However, the density is influenced not only by the weaving method. Properties such as moisture resistance, water repellency and air exchange are due to special impregnation with polymers.

The duspo fabric is lightweight in structure, resistant to multiple bends / wrinkles, and that is why it is boldly used to make complex patterns.

Duspo outerwear is very practical and easy to clean - even after repeated washings, the color of the fabric remains in its original form. It does not get wet, is not blown out, withstands frosts, does not fade in the sun.

In addition to everything, it perfectly allows air to pass through, retaining the necessary heat, which is called air exchange.

Types and characteristics

On finished products made of this fabric, you can find a label with a special marking - this is how manufacturers note the type of duspo used for a given product.

  • Milky. The fabric from the wrong side is impregnated with a water-repellent layer of white color. Differs in smoothness, light shine. Does not lend itself to fading, shedding. Provides the integrity of the down filling in jackets / down jackets - a special impregnation does not allow the down to crawl through the seams.
  • Bonding. To obtain it, a polymer fabric is combined with a soft knitted lining, most often fleece is used. It has a high degree of protection against cold and water, surpassing the properties of fabrics made from natural fibers.
  • "Peach skin". Otherwise - "peach skin" - a special type of impregnation that makes the structure of the material velvety. Mostly, sports or casual clothes of the highest class are sewn from it. It is durable and pleasant to the touch.
  • PU. Transparent impregnation protects fibers from getting wet, chemical attack, as well as sweat and grease. Its structure is transparent, therefore it is applied mainly on the seamy side, although it is also found on the front side of the finished product.
  • WR. It is an innovative water-repellent layer that allows water droplets to roll off the surface of the jacket.
  • Ray. Thanks to this impregnation, the material becomes harder, and the color becomes pearlescent.
  • CIRE. Gives the canvas a beautiful shine.
  • "Jacquard". This is how the textured surface is denoted.
  • Punching. The use of perforation for decorative purposes - inserts, stripes, pockets.

In addition to the universal impregnation, Duspo contains 100% synthetic polyester fibers.

The main advantages of Dewspo fabric can be highlighted:

  • protects from strong winds;
  • excellent air permeability, preventing the formation of the greenhouse effect;
  • does not get wet in the rain, repelling water droplets;
  • does not fade in the sun after repeated washes;
  • not afraid of bends;
  • soft to the touch, light in structure;
  • products are strong, durable, do not wear out.

Application and care

Duspo is the best material for making clothes for every day, outdoor activities, sports. The fabric is used to create wardrobe items for the whole family - adults and children. Particularly appreciated are waterproof suits (ski, mountain, snowboarding, and so on), consisting of pants and a jacket, or overalls. These clothes are great for winter sports. This also includes warm down jackets, jackets that do not lend themselves to getting wet and blown out, as well as stylish coats and raincoats for spring and autumn.

The material is quite easy to use - it is easy to cut, create various patterns, so some even sew clothes for animals from it.

Properties such as waterproofness and windproofness made it possible to use duspo in the manufacture of tents for tourism and recreation. Such a fabric acts as a cushioning material between the insulation and the top coating of the product.

The properties of the canvas make it possible to use it in the manufacture of strollers, carriers, car seats, sledges. Dewspo with Peach Skin impregnation is used as an upholstery of upholstered furniture.

Many global brands of winter clothing use this particular synthetics. Thanks to its excellent properties, it is loved by athletes and travelers. However, such products are quite expensive due to their high quality.

Dewspo can be purchased in specialized fabric stores or ordered online. The average price per meter of fabric is up to 200 rubles. By the way, it is much more economical to buy at retail. Many online stores offer just such a service.

Products made from this type of synthetics do not require special care. First of all, you need to find out what kind of impregnation was applied to your clothes.

It is the synthetic compounds that provide the unique properties of the product. Therefore, it is important to preserve them during the wash process.

Care advice

    Hand and automatic washing (in a machine) is allowed. Slightly warm water is used - no more than 40 degrees. Tumble drying and high spin are not recommended or required as the fabric dries quickly naturally.

    • Bleaching with substances containing chlorine, cleaning with chemicals (dry cleaning) are prohibited.
    • Ironing temperature - no higher than 150 degrees.
    • Some lining materials require a special auto / hand wash cycle. Therefore, carefully study the labels - all the details of care are indicated there.
    • There is no need to be afraid of fading of the fabric - the high quality of the duspot does not allow the clothes to fade even after repeated washes. By the way, there is a special paint that can be repainted, for example, a white jacket, while keeping the structure of the fabric intact.

    As it turns out, synthetics are no longer inferior clothing materials. Manufacturers today use the latest technology to produce durable, durable, reliable textures. So, duspo is one of the optimal fabrics for creating warm sports or casual wear, namely: down jackets, jackets, waterproof suits, overalls. Such clothes are designed to protect us from frost, wind and moisture.
