The range of things for pregnant women has expanded significantly over the past few years. With such a variety, it is even difficult to make the right choice and not buy too much. But what is really worth paying attention to are baby carriers. The thing is universal, multifunctional, in a word, irreplaceable.

Peculiarities

Babywearing jackets differ from conventional models by the presence of an additional insert, which is located in front. Most often it is fastened with a zipper on both sides, thus creating additional space for comfortable placement of the child. The insert can be adjusted in width and height, due to which neither you nor your baby will have to adjust to the standard jacket sizes.

Models

Since the appearance of baby coats, their production volumes have increased rapidly. Designers show great interest in such clothes, which are respected and popular among pregnant women and new mothers. In view of this variety, you can select a model based solely on your preferences.

A good babywearing jacket necessarily has mechanisms for adjusting the width of the hem: drawstrings or drawstrings. Baby coats, depending on the seasonality, are divided into the following models:

  • Summer options are extremely rare and are created in most cases for individual orders. Still, they do exist and dress in most cases in cool weather or for an evening walk. Most often, fleece is used for sewing them, which can be of various thicknesses. If you remove the supplement for the baby in such a jacket, then it can be used as a regular jumper.
  • Demi-season babywearing jackets are presented, perhaps, in the largest assortment. The top layer is often made waterproof so that drizzling rain does not upset your walk with your child.
  • Winter babywearing jackets are selected primarily by the thickness of the insulation, which can be isosoft, the well-known holofiber, thermofin and thinsulate. Yes, all these heaters do not contain natural materials, but their characteristics are at their best.

Babywear jackets may also differ in the design of the inserts. There are some of the most common options:

  • Models with one insert, which is universal, can be used during pregnancy and after childbirth for walking with the baby. Such universal inserts can be turned over, changing their functional component. There are also inserts with curtains, due to which the size of this element and its purpose change. Both are convenient and practical.
  • Baby coats can be equipped with two inserts: one is used during pregnancy, and the other is used for walking with the baby.
  • There are slingo jacket models that have one regular insert, but they can still be used before and after childbirth. The secret of versatility lies in the presence of horizontal elastic bands, which can be located throughout the jacket or be concentrated only in the waist area. Due to these elastic bands, the jacket is stretched as needed, therefore even the insert becomes unnecessary during pregnancy.

Selection Tips

Practicality and versatility, of course, play a big role when choosing a jacket, but nevertheless, its appearance should be liked and fit the type. The seams should be strong, even, without tousled threads and gaps.

  • A good sling coat should have a moisture resistant top layer that will not be blown by the wind, but will also provide good air circulation.
  • The presence of a fleece lining is an undeniable advantage, since this material is pleasant to the touch, soft and delicate.
  • Pockets should be present on the jacket so that you can quickly find your phone, keys, handkerchief and other important items.
  • The hood is not a necessary element, but its importance increases if hats are rarely included in the image. Baby coats often have a hood for the baby. In this case, it is necessary.
  • If the dimensions of the insert on the jacket are regulated by the drawstrings, then there should be at least two of them on each side.

Shortened models are best avoided, since they are not able to protect well from the cold and cover the most vulnerable places.
